Addai owners (1 Viewer)

In the only league where Addai is my #1 I picked up Keith. It's like insurance... you may never use it, but if Addai goes down, you will be pissed if you don't have it.

Handcuffed Addai with Keith and couldn't be happier. The only thing that worries me is Keith looked too good. Would hate for them to start splitting carries.
Same here, it looked like they both had lots of room to run. Keith looked better on the stretch plays, but Addai looked better up the middle.

Didn't think Keith looked beteer than Addai in ANY aspect of the game. Really didn't seem to get going until late in the game, and even then on the stretch he barely got around the corner. I'm surprised to see people still doubting Addai after last night.

Im glad I picked up Keith for now. But like any handcuff Ill see how valuable his roster spot is later in the season when I have to make some more pickups.

Have Addai in one of my two leagues, but will wait until later in the season to go after Keith, if he's still available.

Start 2 RBs, no flex.

RBs are Addia, Benson, Foster, BJax, Dunn, Norwood.

Hmmm. As I write this it occurs to me that all but Addai & Benson (who I don't really think much of) are split-timers.

Who to drop?

Never mind -

Yes, I'll be getting Keith, asap.

Keith is definitely the back up, but if there is an injury to Addai it appears that Keith will be able to step in and produce. His first carry on the stretch play Keith ran for 7 yards and lowered his shoulder to finish the run. Living in Saskatchewan and watching Keith for the last 4 years I am happy for the guy. He is turning out to be a great story. The guy has been productive wherever he has played and he is doing a great job of what has been asked of him so far. I knew he was quick enough and elusive enough to play at the NFL level, but what has shocked me is his power of what I have seen so far in his preseason work and last night. He is finishing off runs and he continues to have a wonderful ypc. Good on him.

I'm thinking this guy Keith may be a player that can lift a fantasy team to the next level, with the right situation of course. Owned in only 20% of CBS Leagues.

Unless said team has Addai. If I had to start Keith instead of Addai I doubt that would lift my team to the next level and would most certainly hurt it a bit.

True. But is Addai that much better than Keith? I don't know. Is it a product of the system? I'm in no way trying to suggest Keith is better, but on that offense how much production would be lost between the two of them. And if you don't own Addai, he is great trade bait and possible good RB2.I mentioned in the handcuff thread that I don't put much stock in it. But I also won a league a few years ago because I had LJ as a backup (I know it's a different caliber player) and I think this is a great sleeper player.

Is this guy worth a roster spot just to handcuff Addai? True Indy's offense is unmatched but this guy is a 27 year old rookie. How good could he do if Addai is hurt? I have him on my bench now just in case Addai gets hurt but with bye weeks and other waiver wire players emerging Im not sure how long I can hold him on my roster.

The Addai owner in my league just picked him up today. I was surprised since we only have 5 bench spots. I think handcuffing is a waste of space for some RB's, especially with Keith Kenton - who is this guy? I can't justify giving a roster spot to such an unproven back up.
People probably said the same thing about Dominic Rhodes a number of years ago when Edge went down. Sometimes you never know.
Indy RB will be valuable. Since 2002, Indy as a team has averaged 1635.4 yards and 13.2 TDs. Obviously the bulk of that has been Edge, but even in his absence the likes of Mungro and Rhodes have been very effective. One thing I did notice with Keith is that he was running hard and downhill. If Addai were to miss time, I think he would be a viable starter just by the nature of being in this offense where you have to respect the pass.As for handcuffing, it depends on what else is out there, how deep the league is, how deep roster spots are, etc. In a 10 or 12 team league with 5 bench spots (14 total?), there's probably better talent out there. If you get to deeper benches, or 14-16 team leagues, he's probably worth the spot.

Kenton Keith should be on a roster in all but the most shallow leagues. Addai has never proven to be able to carry a full load. If he gets hurt, Keith would be a solid RB2, as would most reasonably talented RBs on teams with good offenses.

Also, keep in mind that Bill Polian said just last season when asked about using both Addai and Rhodes that he thinks you almost have to use 2 RBs in the modern NFL. Keith is not some fresh 21 year old rookie, he's in fact a lot more experienced than Addai. I could easily see the two of them sharing at least some carry and Keith getting a lot of work late in games. I'm surprised that more people aren't spending a roster spot on the kid, the colts offense is a huge RB fantasy producer, Addai has yet to prove he can handle the full load, and even though most of us had not heard of him until recently Keith has a lot of experience.

Unofficial poll/hijack. Another owner in our league has T K.Jones and Addai. I have T.Bell (he scooped me on Jones, I thought he would go a round later than he did). If it were you, would you consider a swap with Kieth, if I were to snag him off waivers?

Just fishing, I guess.

ETA Fixed wrong Jonesy

Exactly. I don't own Addai but picked him up as a RB #6.

As an Addai owner Id rather have Jones on my roster than Keith

Having Keith is ok if you are an Addai owner but nothing to get excited about. If Addai were to go down they would surely bring someone else in so at best rostering Keith will get you a timeshare of the Colts backfield if Addai were to go down but I don't see a scenario were Kieth would be the man.

I assume op meant K Jones. I'd rather have KJ than Keith.

I'm amazed at how much people know about Keith's skill level. I didn't realize so many posters here followed the CFL and watched all the colts preseason games. Because to here some of you talk you've been following Keith for years.

I have seen many of his CFL games a few live as I live in Saskatchewan. This guy is a must have if you own Addai if he is still available, and depedning on leauge roster sizes he should find his way on many teams regardless.

 What he said. If you can get they guy to go for it I'd do it.I also picked up Keith as a flier in a couple of leagues. If Addai gets hurt Keith has great value on such a potent team. If not, I know who to cut when needed.

I really hope the Colts make a statement sooner than the Eagles did last week with Westbrook. That will help a lot of us out with who to play tomorrow.

Dodds/Norton and Bloom have Addai projected for 0.0 points which indicates to me that THEY don't think he's going to play.

I picked up Kieth in one league and will start him with S. Morris.

I have him in a couple of leagues. I am very curious to see how the RB break down is going to translate in Indy. If Keith is the number 2 back and gets touches he could end up being unbeilevable value for a guy not being drafted in most leauges. People keep saying Keith is unproven but he did play at an elite level in the CFL. Now, I know it is the CFL, but he has been game planning and playing professional football the last 4 years. The guy ran extremely well in the CFL. In his 4 year career of rushing the ball in Saskatchewan he had 610 attempts for 3811 yards which works out to a ridiculous 6.2 ypc. He also added 126 receptions for 1178 yards. He had 22 TD's to 19 fumbles.
I am amazed at how Keith is being ignored, but Dorsey wasn't. I don't get why people would have had Dorsey before, but won't pick up Keith, who badly outplayed Dorsey in preseason. I am one who expects him to get more playing time than people think.
my parents went to college with carrol o'connor.
