Indy is supposed to announce their inactives at 6:30 today, if that's any help.
Don't forget that Pat Williams will be out so thier run D won't be quite as good. And yes, Williams does make that big of a difference in the Vikes run D I wouldn't be suprised if Turner has a good outing on Sunday.yes, no, yes, yes.Would you dare play him over some of the #1 backs with bad matchups, like LT vs TB, Turner vs Min, Portis vs Phil or CJ vs Pitt?
... part of my thought process exactly .... Turner is the only one of those 4 mentioned that I would say is a better option than Rhodes (if Addai is out) ...The Falcons will move the ball in Minny, and Turner gets plenty of chances to score.Don't forget that Pat Williams will be out so thier run D won't be quite as good. not if you did the smart thing and handcuffed him with Rhodes, like I didI'd say most Addai owners who made the playoffs are in the 3rd place game this week.Me included.![]()

Or perhaps not:Chad Simpson RB Ankle Did Not Participate In Practice QuestionableNot crazy about this matchup for Rhodes. He's coming off a 20 carry effort against Detroit and even if Addai
is inactive I get a feeling we may see more of Chad Simpson than we like.
Nice posting.. I missed that... I guess Dookie might work his way out on the field...nomojomo said:Or perhaps not:Chad Simpson RB Ankle Did Not Participate In Practice Questionablesupermark_28 said:Not crazy about this matchup for Rhodes. The Scorpion said:Coach Tony Dungy said he will rest his players in Week 17 if the Colts win Thursday night.
Dungy will rest any player with a minor injury and most of his important starters. It means that Peyton Manning, who has thrown for 3,543 yards through 14 games, is unlikely to reach 4,000 for the ninth time. And Reggie Wayne, who has improved his yardage numbers in each of his seven NFL seasons, will see his first regression.

Why if you are going to rest him in week 17 would you play him tonight? Keep him from being totally rusty for playoff week #1? I too eeked into the Championship game with Addia (Had Turner as well) and I am torn between Addai/Rhodes or gulp Kevin Smith (who now has a hammy?).
I hope he is inactive or at least they say he will get light work. But let's be honest last week was pretty lucky as Manning had two passes down to the 1 and Rhodes got those TDs. Can only hope for more of that tonight.
I see this comment popping up a lot, so I might as well add that I'm in the same boat. In fact, my first three picks (startup dynasty) were Addai, McGaheeadd me to the list of aadai owners that are in the Championship game.
What do you guys make of this? Do you see see a 60/40 split in favor of Rhodes, or do you think it will be closer to 80/20?NFLN says Addai will play, but he won't start.
I heard that, too, but I guess it means that they will only use him if they really need to.NFLN says Addai will play, but he won't start.
This is good for Rhodes owners I guess? Hopefully the split carries will favor Rhodes. Especially on the goalline and in passing situations.NFLN says Addai will play, but he won't start.
I agree. I'm not sure what the point is of playing Addai if he isn't healthy enough to start. The only reason to do so would be if Simpson isn't able to play and Dungy wants Addai up in case anything happens to Rhodes. And if that's the case, then Addai likely won't be playing much unless it's in an emergency.Bottom line - you'd have to have some awful RBs on your roster to even consider starting Addai tonight in my opinion. And if you're still alive in Week 16, I can't imagine your RB depth is awful.I'd go Rhodes. Joey Sugartit won't see much action, methinks.

You have two RBs who are much better than Addai. So your choice isn't Addai. He clearly isn't good enough to start ahead of those two RBs. Your choice is between Rhodes and Faulk which I agree is a tough one. In standard scoring, I'd go with Rhodes. In a PPR, I'd probably give a slight edge to Faulk. He's been damn good in PPR leagues for several weeks.Im one of those teamsIts either Rhodes or Kevin FaulkI agree. I'm not sure what the point is of playing Addai if he isn't healthy enough to start. Think so? It's been fairly clear that Rhodes is the guy down there, regardless of Addai's health, no? And now hearing that AST is available but wont'start? I feel fairly good about Rhodes getting most of the work tonight.Well this makes my decision to go with Rhodes much easier but I think itll be left up to luck on who gets the goalline carries.
In the last four games when he was backing up Addai, Rhodes had double-digit carries in every one of them except one. And in the game he didn't, he caught five passes, including a TD catch. He also averaged three receptions per game in those four games. So even though he was the backup, he was getting double-digit carries nearly every game, he was very active in the passing game and he had scored twice. If he was that involved as the backup, it stands to reason his role will be even greater as the starter tonight. I think Rhodes' floor tonight is 10-15 carries, 3-4 receptions and the goal-line looks. That's a pretty darn good floor. At the very least he should be a damn good RB3. At best, he could put up RB1 numbers if Addai spends the game on the sidelines as I suspect might occur.I'm going Rhodes over Foster, Choice, and Dunn.Rhodes has been looking so good lately, my guess is that he gets 75% of the carries - which is good enough for me.
Nope. Theres been no rhyme or reason to who has been the goalline back the last few weeks.Think so? It's been fairly clear that Rhodes is the guy down there, regardless of Addai's health, no? Thanks for the "hard" data - backs up my "soft" view of things. In the last four games when he was backing up Addai, Rhodes had double-digit carries in every one of them except one. Fair enough. Rollin' the dice with Rhodes is where I'm going, so let it ride..........Nope. Theres been no rhyme or reason to who has been the goalline back the last few weeks.Think so? well it's "logical" that Rhodes would get the carries since Addai has a shoulder injury and they wouldn't want him to run into tight holes with his shoulders down trying to score. But again, there's nothing logical in this game so...Nope. Theres been no rhyme or reason to who has been the goalline back the last few weeks.Think so? It's been pretty set in stone. The primary RB on that drive has gotten the looks. To the best of my recollection, the only time that didn't occur was last week when Simpson vultured a TD from Rhodes. But that came after Rhodes had a big catch to take the ball to the 5. So he may have come out simply to get a rest. Every other time, it's been the primary RB on that drive. If Rhodes starts and gets the bulk of the carries as I suspect, then I think he's pretty much a lock to get the goal-line carries. Plus, Addai's injury is to his shoulder. If he isn't healthy enough to start, what possible reason would Dungy have to use him in short-yardage/goal-line situations? That would be incredibly stupid.Nope. You're going with Tippy Toes? Good luck, son. He's done nothing but killed me this season.Well since this thread has turned into a WDIS thread because almost all situations involve championships, I'm going Foster over Addai/Rhodes and then, gulp Jamal Lewis if Gore makes a dramatic recovery. Dungy just makes it impossible to tell what he's going to do, I HATE HIM!!
If it were me, I'd start Rhodes and then plug in Lewis if Foster doesn't start. I think Rhodes is the best RB on your roster right now and if it was me I wouldn't want him on my bench. But that's just my two cents.Well since this thread has turned into a WDIS thread because almost all situations involve championships, I'm going Foster over Addai/Rhodes and then, gulp Jamal Lewis if Gore makes a dramatic recovery. No, I wrote that horribly, DeWill and Foster, and Jamal only if need be because of Gore. (SF and CLE both go at 1pm Sun.) I hate tippy toes also, but I also hate the Colts running situation. You're going with Tippy Toes? Good luck, son. i'm in same boat... Jam Lewis is now in for Addai... crapYou're going with Tippy Toes? Good luck, son. Same here... And I am adding Jonathan Stewart to the mix...Flip floppin with Dunn and Rhodes right now. Non ppr. My gut isn't helping :(
