Addai's Dynasty Rank (1 Viewer)

FBG currently has Addai 14th in their dynasty rankings. This as opposed to 8th in redraft.

I've heard it mentioned that he's a product of the Colt's offense and won't be resigned but if I'm not mistake he has 4 more years in Indy. LJ is #3 on their list, do they think he's really a much better option in 2011? Plus, does anyone think dynasty owners should be giving that much weight to 4 years from now? There are just far too many question marks on any player to really give more than a smidgen of weight to Year 5.

You can't say it's because he's unproven. Peterson checks in at #8 on the list.

The guy is young, will be with a great offense for 4 years , and is considered the 8th best RB right now by FBG, so why 14th in dynasty?

I think part of this is simply because of who is doing the dynasty rankings vs redraft rankings. A lot of the FBG staff has Addai ranked very high in redraft, and they just happen to not necessarily be the ones doing dynasty rankings as well. If you look, you'll see that between Bloom, Tefertiller, Borbely, Smith, and Pasquino (the dynasty rankings staff), they have Addai ranked in very similar position in their redraft rankings. It's just that so many other staffers have Addai ranked 4th in redraft that pulled up his average ranking there. Also, in reference to weighting years, IIRC, I believe that the dynasty rankings are weighted roughly as year 1 = 50%, year 2 = 25%, year 3 = 25%, although this is obviously very subjective, and probably more a combination of age, situation, and gut feel.

Addai is currently the 10th ranked RB in FBG dynasty rankings, not 14th as was stated in the original post. He is 8th in redraft, so there is not a whole lot of difference. A major thing in dynasty is Bush and Peterson are just better talents, and they are higher than him across the board in dynasty.

Regarding the comment above about 2011...that is WAY to far ahead to factor it into dynasty rankings. Three years is about the max for me, although I will use time beyond that if I can't decide between two players. I don't think a players contract 4 years from now matters at all.

I have him ranked lower than Peterson, Bush and Maroney in dynasty, but not redraft, and it's mainly because of talent, plus, I am concerned that he has never carried a full workload, not even in college. I have him 10th in redraft and 11th in dynasty. I am not as high on him as others for this year. He had some injuries last year and didn't even carry the full load...so there are concerns there.

I personally think he is the most overvalued player in redrafts this year.

Anthony, I'm looking at the overall dynasty rankings from the forecast page and I don't see any way that he could be 10th on that list no matter what your sort by (mean, median, adj mean).

I'm lost, because he is 10th right now on the list I am looking at. Anyone want to look at the current dynasty rankings and tell me were Addai is ranked....thanks in advance.
