It's his job to lose after rushing it 10 times?I think at this point even with Ahman healthy, Kubiack sees the potential in Joe and will give him as shot like he has all the Rbs who he has aquired. Ahman may linger onto Joes carries but its Joe's job to lose based off his performance Sunday IMO.
As a Green/Ech owner, I'm hoping they rest Green this week, and see how he responds after the bye. If his knee doesn't respond by then, maybe he goes under the scope and we can quit playing this guessing game.I don't see how Ahman Green goes from having a knee that is constantly swollen every time he practices or plays to being able to play a whole game. I don't buy it. I think it's smoke and mirrors for the Raiders so they can't game plan on Itchy-Man-Dew.

Based off the recent news of Ahman's health, coach didnt back off about Joe playing this weekend like one would expect if Ahman was in fact the lock RB1.Truth is we all know what to expect out of Ahman, People got a taste including coach, of what Joe can do. If you look at the stats and didnt watch the game I'd understand but he ran with more power and suddenness than any RB they've had all season. So, yeah I think even at this point he earned a shot at the rb1 , I mean he did come in on the practice squad and burst on the scene and they did drop Samkon because they wanted to see more of him, I don't think it was to let him sit on the bench and watch the same ol' Ahman thats for sure. His name may have just came up around the boards but I think hes earned everything Houston's given him and at this point and I think thats a "shot" from KubiakIt's his job to lose after rushing it 10 times?I think at this point even with Ahman healthy, Kubiack sees the potential in Joe and will give him as shot like he has all the Rbs who he has aquired. I would be alot more comfortable starting Eche this week if I knew Green was Out. The statement Kubiac made about dressing all three worries me that we are going to see a three-headed RBBC monster. On a bad offense none of them will be worth starting if all three play. If I owned Green and had to start one of these guys, I would probably start him unless I heard that he is not playing.Based off the recent news of Ahman's health, coach didnt back off about Joe playing this weekend like one would expect if Ahman was in fact the lock RB1.Truth is we all know what to expect out of Ahman, People got a taste including coach, of what Joe can do. Wish I were that optimistic. With Green getting ready to visit Dr. Andrews, it wouldn't shock me to find out he needs surgery and will be shut down. Or even worse, that it'll be a week-to-week thing, with no telling when it'll act up in the middle of a game.I'm about ready to drop him, and rid myself of this headache. After the bye my IMO guess will be Ahman will continue to be consistently effective and Joe will get carries by default and will impress on limited carries and leapfrog Dayne.Keep the faith
LMAO I truely forgot to insert the "IN" on effective , sorry about that one. Yes I agree.Wish I were that optimistic. Waiting for word on Ahman Green
By JOHN MCCLAIN
Waiting for word
After getting two weeks off, the Texans are hoping running back Ahman Green, who is nursing a sore knee, will play against New Orleans.
"We'll follow the same plan," coach Gary Kubiak said. "He won't practice on Wednesdays. He'll come out tomorrow and do a little, and then we'll go from there. All it takes is a thumbs up from him. He says, 'Hey, Coach, I'm ready to go,' he's going.
"Our team needs him. We're keeping our fingers crossed."
Offensive line in limbo
Ahman Green's sore knee impacts the offensive line. Rashad Butler is the backup tackle. Chris White is the backup center and guard. The coaches want to see rookie guard Kasey Studdard play off the bench, but they won't dress an eighth lineman if they're too worried about Green, who hasn't finished a game he's started.
"As Ahman is a day-to-day and week-to-week deal, it's going to be hard for us to get a kid like (Studdard) involved quickly," coach Gary Kubiak said. "If you don't have three running backs available, you take a chance on having to abandon your game plan."
In other words, if Green is active but leaves the game early, Ron Dayne and Adim-
chinobe Echemandu give the Texans two more backs, which means one less offensive lineman.
Isn't it plausible that Walker is simply more talented?I understand Joe E did not do anything special this year...or ever really in the NFL. But what I am missing (and I am hoping the SP can help me out) is to why he was not given a bigger shot? Injuries? Doghouse?
He fumbled on his one carry in a game a couple weeks ago; that might be part of the reason.I understand Joe E did not do anything special this year...or ever really in the NFL. But what I am missing (and I am hoping the SP can help me out) is to why he was not given a bigger shot? Injuries? Doghouse? I know that he had shown flashes, so I was just curious as to what happened between now and then? I recall him being dinged up a bit with a bruise or something, but I am surprised they never gave him a shot. I realize he has been around the league, so I was hoping to get more than just, "That's why he has bounced around." Homers?
We did not see him again in that game and only a couple of not inspiring carries since. He fumbled on his one carry in a game a couple weeks ago; that might be part of the reason.I understand Joe E did not do anything special this year...or ever really in the NFL. Absolutely. I know Walker had some good years in South Bend. So you think it has more to do with Walker's talent rather than anything Joe E did? Seems possible, I was just curious. So then do you see value in Walker in a dynasty format? Obviously that would have to be a shot in the dark, considering he has not played. Just wondering.Isn't it plausible that Walker is simply more talented?I understand Joe E did not do anything special this year...or ever really in the NFL. It's not so stupid; fumbling loses games. A fumble in your own red zone is like giving the other team a TD and a fumble in the other team's red zone is like losing a TD; it takes a lot of yards to earn back those points.Ron Dayne has lost only four fumbles in his career on 998 touches: that's an average of one lost fumble per 250 touches. Fantasy football players don't care that much about that stat because fumbles usually are not penalized much, if at all in our game; but turn overs are probably the single most important statistic in real football.Kubiak will not play a RB who fumbles. He wouldn't let Chris Talyor carry the ball until the last few weeks of last year becasue of fumbling. Joe E. is now in that boat. Dayne never fumbles so he gets to play. Stupid but that is Kubiak and RB's.
I had him rostered in most of my dynasty leagues, but recently dropped him for Fred Jackson. I can't imagine Kubiak doesn't address the RB situation through FA/draft, which makes me unsure about Walker's long-term value. I think he could end up being a Morency-type guy in the long run.He isn't incredibly talented, but if given the chance, I think he could be serviceable. He isn't the type of talent that a team would start the season as a starter, but I could see him working himself in to a rotation with injuries and/or underperformance. Just my $.02.So then do you see value in Walker in a dynasty format? Obviously that would have to be a shot in the dark, considering he has not played. Just wondering.
