Adrian Arrington (1 Viewer)

I only saw a few Michigan games but he did well in them. He landed in a good spot in NO. Is he worth drafting? I only have a late 2nd round pick and my choices are Arrington, Slaton, or Keller, but I'm betting the guy in front of me nabs Slaton as he is rebuilding and needs young RBs. And I'm leaning towards Arrington over Keller.

I personally love Arrington. I've watched every UM game (yes, every one) and have always thought that he could be a better pro than Mario. While I did not expect a slide to Round 7 this year, I think he's got pretty decent value in NO, and it sure seems like they wanted him badly, giving up an 09 pick to get him. Doesn't seem like anyone's a real lock for the #2 WR spot, so you never know what a great training camp will do for his value.

That said, I really don't think I'd take him that early. I'd be more inclined to grab Keller myself.

I like him as a flyer. I've been picking him up late and off waivers in my leagues. He's not the fastest or strongest guy, but I think he can be a starter in the league. He reminds me of Michael Clayton before he sucked.

Good QB's make good prospects better. Arrington is a good prospect and the #2 in NO is wide open.

I'd take him late as a "see what happens" guy, but wouldn't hold him too long. They have plenty of WRs, and are really interested in Meacham getting going.

i like him a dynasty league. while the saints roster is full of WR's, only colston and meachem have any long term ties to the team. patten, copper and henderson have either 1-year or miniscule contracts. arrington just needs to prove he's worth keeping over those guys.

You should be able to get him off waivers, imo. Unless of course there is someone in the league like EBF.

Arrington is behind:

Colston

Meachem

Henderson

Copper

Moore

at the moment. However, if Colston goes down with an injury NEXT year (not this coming season) I think Arrington will catch a lot of balls in his stead - Brees loves the big targets, and if Colston gets hurt a 6'3" receiver would have a place on the field.

Yes, but other than Colston, none of those guys have locked up a starting position. Unless someone distances themselves from the crowd, it's going to pretty much be WR2 by rotation. Meaning it wouldn't be unheard of for Arrington to get some decent playing time.
