Obviously The Vikings disagreecrazy to pay a 26 yo back that kinda money, even one as good as ap
Locked up as a vike
He is getting paid not only for his play on the field but to be the face of the franchise. He will represent the Vikings very positively because he is a character guy. It not like giving 100 M to Albert Haynesworth who was/is a great player but a failure as a human being.crazy to pay a 26 yo back that kinda money, even one as good as ap

Nah- with $36 guaranteed its basically a 3 year contract- then we will cut you/massively restructure as soon as you fall off that cliff.crazy to pay a 26 yo back that kinda money, even one as good as ap
Agreed, but RB's rarely win games, QB's do. That's QB money.Best RB in the league.
LOLChris Johnson announced he is going to hold out again.
This is off topic...But man, your avatar creeps the s*#t outta me.Locked up as a vike![]()
ADP as a football players has earned the contract. It is doubtful the deal will go the entire six years. There are outs.Unlike other players, he handled the contract process in a professional manner.Thumbs up.

Have the Vikes had a good O-Line while ADP has been in the league? The right side has been a pretty awful for years now and the left side (aside from Steve Hutchinson who now is half the player he used to be) that was "anchored" by Bryant McKinnie was hardly anything to get excited about. I don't know if the Vikes have had a truly dominant line since the days of Robert Smith.ADP is such a talent that he just out plays everyone. Maybe not worth that money but others have pointed out his role as the Franchise and the Vikes are pushing hard for a stadium these days. That's a lot of money but it was necessary. Now get him decent blockers. A $100 million RB with a crappy o-line doesn't make a lot of sense.
It was a lot better when Birk was around. The dropoff was significant when he left for Baltimore. 2009 the unit was bad and in 2010 it was worse. Even if Birk's skills were eroding when he left, the unit was better with than without him.Have the Vikes had a good O-Line while ADP has been in the league? He was going to get $11 million this season anyway, so they basically have given him 25 million guaranteed, which is a lot but not too far out of the norm.crazy to pay a 26 yo back that kinda money, even one as good as ap
Lendale White?Top rb in the NFL should get the most money, simple math![]()
Also AD is a fan favorite and not just in MN. I meet a lot of people from Texas and Oklahoma that started cheering for the vikes because of AD. We usually dominated the football viewing maps all over the middle of the country. In the end it's kinda a bummer, because I know that this is the beginning of the end. He wont be able to play at the level that contract demands forever, but at least I have a few more years. He is getting paid not only for his play on the field but to be the face of the franchise. I hear ya,being an OU fan and a Viking fan this has been a dream come true for me. He has been so much fun to watch over the years. While he deserved every $ that he got in this contract IMO, not only for his performance but because he is the face of the franchise it kind of puts light on the fact that the end of what has been a great career so far is in the future. He very well may not see the last year or 2 of this deal because of his style and the way backs break down, I have enjoyed his career very much and will continue to enjoy watching him play in purple. Also AD is a fan favorite and not just in MN.
