Adrian Peterson (1 Viewer)

How about everyone learn to type? These nicknames are out of control. In the Asst. Coach forum I just saw DeLo (Deangelo Williams). I wanted to vomit. I also want to puke when I see "Westy".
What the hell is wrong with Westy? He's been referred to as that for years. :towelwave:

It sounds so gay. Not that there is anything wrong with that - Jerry Seinfeld.Let's see, the difference between Westy and Westbrook is 4 freaking letters. Now that is lazy.

Yep, 4 should be the deal breaker.

I like to call him HD for "half-day"

seeing as he can't make it through a season without getting injured.

There are two things in life of which I am certain:

1) I have to pay taxes

2) Adrian Peterson injured himself by showboating.

OK, that's just dumb. If you think he was showboating then you need to go back and watch the tape. Your comment is idiotic.

I'm an old man like you (no offense), and I'm tired of these stupid nicknames as well. A word to the other users unless one of these players is your good friend, use their legal name. Yo, yo, yo,you feeling me dogs.

Eh. Seems to me it's one of those nicknames that should have just stuck with his team.

Sort of like William the Refrigerator Perry. He had a nickname on the Bears, but it wasn't "Fridge". It was "Biscuit". Because someone said he was a biscuit under 350 pounds.

Just like Perry and "Biscuit", someone can do better for Peterson than AD.

Cornelius Bennett will always be "Biscuit" to me

If only it was a nickname the team had given him. A nickname your dad gives you is just a little better than a nickname you give yourself. Yes, I'm looking at you "Primetime" and "Playmaker."

APet is better than AD, but I agree, what's with all these nicknames? It makes me "Green Apple Splatter".
This reminds me of my absolute favorite nick name. "The Dump Truck"aka......Najeh Trenadious Monté Davenport.

I really don't understand the outrage about this situation. Who cares if a nickname gets shortened? From my experience with nicknames, they are always evolving, changing, getting longer/shorter...Whether it is AP, AD, All Day, Adrian Peterson, ADP, or Mr. Peterson, you will know what/who they are talking about from the context and information you gather in the post.

...because we all need to hate something.

Those who say they don't hate something are lying, and if they really don't, then I don't trust them.

also...shouldn't it go like this you MORON...Trying to use the "I know AD is AP" argument to prove your smart score = 10+Using the bad LT argument since those are initials of their actual names score = 10+
Never having watched Bugs Bunny = -25 pointsWhat a maroon! :goodposting:

I'll take "AP" or "AD" over "APet" or whatever other incredibly dorky nickname he's inevitably given :banned:

Lemme get this straight:

Mr. Adrian Peterson is nicknamed AD for "all day" yet some people insist on calling him AD on the board? Are you guys that lazy that you only want to type AD because you can do it with ONE hand rather than two with AP?

Slothfullness knows no bounds...

If we must use a nickname for Peterson, I suggest everyone use "AP'. If we do it enough, the "AD,ers" will fade away.

Exactly! Because the newspapers, radio, and SportsCenter all get their nicknames from us!

No, just fade away on this board.

Not to mention his father, who actually gave him the nickname AD.Perhaps we should just institute a no nickname policy. It's clear that nicknames are a new phenomenon in the world of sports, and frankly we may just be better off without them.

How about a compromise, continue to use "AD", but no more nicknames that end in "y", such as "Westy". :D

I can live with that. So let it be written, So let it be done.

"But I'm a superstitious man. And if some unlucky accident should befall him - If he should get shot in the head by a police officer, or if he should hang himself in his jail cell - or if he's struck by a bolt of lightning, them I'm going to blame some of the people in this room, and that I do not forgive. But, that aside, let me say that I swear, on the souls of my grandchildren, that I will not be the one to break the peace we've made here today."

I HATE this AD thing. I've never heard of him referred to that before this board. I don't have the time to stop by all day like I did during the summer, so, somewhere along the way, I missed his new knightship of AD. Now, imagine me, coming to the Shark Pool and reading "AD's Dream Team" So, i sit here in my head trying to run off the names of the top prospects. Can't think of an AD. So, I click the thread, only thing is, his name isn't mentioned in there. So, I'm STILL lost as to who the hell this AD is. Al Davis?

Well, finally ended up in anotehr thread where someone commented on it.

I think it's just insane to clal him AD. IF you want to call him All day, ok, sure. But when the kid's initials are so close to the initials of his real name, why NOT use the p instead of the d? Is the P really that much farther away from the D on the keyboard? Seriously, I could have guessed Adrian Peterson from AP. Would have happened, yup, sure would have.
