My buddy and I were having a discussion about the two conferences and I was saying that back during the NFC's Super Bowl dominant years the AFC (if I remember correctly) usually had a better regular season record head-to-head. So we started wondering what the numbers look like from the mid-80's up to now.
I tried doing a little research on pro-football reference and a couple other sites but didn't come up with anything. Does anyone have a suggestion as to where I might find this historical data?
