AFCC Game Thread: Patriots/Broncos - The Final Showdown (1 Viewer)

Tremendous answer by the Patriots defense to get the sack on 1st down. Completely changes this end game. Now Denver will try and run clock. Brady likely to get the ball back.

My son: I think Brady is actually older than Manning."

Me: uh, I don't think so.

My son: Well one of them is like a year older than the other.

Me: Way to hedge your bets there, sport.

That makes no sense. Recoveries count after the whistle?
ARTICLE 1. DEAD BALL DECLARED. An official shall declare the ball dead and the down ended:(m) when an official sounds his whistle erroneously while the ball is still in play, the ball becomes dead immediately

(1) If the ball is in player possession, the team in possession may elect to put the ball in play where it has been declared

dead or to replay the down.

(2) If the ball is a loose ball resulting from a fumble, backward pass, or illegal forward pass, the team last in possession

may elect to put the ball in play at the spot where possession was lost or to replay the down.
How does someone not know this? You guys know the NFL plays every Sunday in the fall right? Might try and catch a game sometime and learn something.

You should try to use the whole rule book and not one page. I'm not going to do your homework for you

I did the homework. There's nothing in the 2015 rulebook that allows a defense to recover a fumble after a play has been blown dead.

DEN needs to get points here. Between this and getting the ball in the third....if they could get up 24 - 9 before NE even sees the ball in the third.......they could really lay a hurt on Brady.

Only so long that the defense can keep this game close. So far the worst playoff game I have seen Brady play. They look terrible and the play calling is so conservative.

Brady has no passion or fire.

That being said, if DEN only gets 6 or 7 between the two possessions.....I'm still taking NE. They're too good to not make adjustments at the half.

Denver needs a score opening drive next half. The sooner you can get Brady to throw deep, the better. That's where most of his mistakes come from.
