AJ Hawk invisible in first preseason rumblings out of GB as well (1 Viewer)

The best part of this thread is that one can easily tell which posters are complete football frauds and have no idea what they are talking about. Informed reports tell the truth... AJ Hawk is the real deal. Amateur clowns that have no more knowledge of football than to not draft kicker's early in a fantasy draft will inform you he isn't very good. All of that based on a few plays in one game.

The sack was a perfectly timed delayed blitz. Dude is quick.
He has also shown a good burst getting to the RB trying to run sweeps.
AJ ran down the Mighty Reggie Bush on runs wide last week to hold him to no gain or a loss, and yeah that was a nice blitz yesterday. He's looked better every week, i dont think you can ask much more of him at this point in his rookie season.

I didn't get to see AJ in much of the preseason, but so far in the regular season he has been very solid. Considering he's a rookie, his play has been impressive. The guy can flat out fly and is rarely out of position. He doesn't miss tackles and is good at getting off blocks. If he isn't yet, he will be the Packer's best defensive player for years to come. I'm a Packer homer and have questioned a number of draft decisions. I liked this one from the beginning and so far AJ is proving the front office made the right decision on him.

I stand by my original assertion that Hawk will be a solid LB, but not a great one.

guy is good. he's quick, fast, and except for some struggles in the pre-season has looked fine.

great players are often surrounded by other above-average talent and a scheme that best utilizes their talent. that's part of what makes them stand out and be great.

he's going to be a starter for a very long time. and as he learns he will make more and bigger plays.
