12 tackles today. He responded well to the opportunity he was given. Will this continue? What do you guys think?

Packers LB Brandon Chillar has been ruled out for Week 4 against Detroit.

Chillar typically serves as Green Bay's nickel linebacker, but AJ Hawk, the starting LILB in base packages, will get a chance to prove he's a three-down linebacker after losing nickel duties earlier in the season. Desmond Bishop could replace Hawk on third downs if the former Buckeye is not effective.

i don't know how much time Barnett missed with his injury so that may have also helped Hawk's statline

Hawk's been upset about his role and asking for more snaps. I think he finally got his opportunity and put it to good use. If he doesn't deserve to be handed an every down role he cetainly deserves another crack at it. Not to mention he got an interception early in game dropping back into a zone coverage. The parts of the game I saw, he was as impressive as the box score would indicate.

word is out that Barnett is out for the year, Hawk will solidly be a three down LBer with either Chillar or Bishop

So what is the latest on Hawk. Think he should be owned at this point. He hasn't done much the past few weeks.
