Alexander injury (1 Viewer)

All week long I've seen on the tickers that Alexander broke his hand but plans to play. Last week at the game (props to everyone who helped me out with the parking directions) he seemed a little skittish carrying the ball and went down easy at times.

Everyone seems to think that if he were to miss time that Sammy Morris would be the guy, but what about Alvin Pearman?

This guy seems to have more upside and I could see him filling the role a little better than Morris, but I haven't seen or heard much about him.

Anyone got any news.

Thanks

RB Sammy Morris, New England Patriots

HT: 6-0, WT: 228, Born: 3-23-1977, College: Texas Tech, Drafted: Round 5

TAYQ: mo would be the guy unless he is banged up

Mo Morris still seems to be the longstanding handcuff.

Despite the board hype for him about 4 or 5 years ago, I think we know by now he's not very good. If Alexander goes down, he's got some value of course, but I wouldn't count on anywhere near Alexander-type numbers.

There's another thread about this froma few weeks ago with better info, but that was when Morris was out. Last I checked he was still questionable. Even if he is a go and SA goes down I don't think there is a true handcuff. Time will be split with Morris, Weave and Pearman. They really like Weaver's skill set but he hasn't really been stellar when given the chance. They did try running the same play with him that Morris scored on in TB with Weaver, motioning him out from the backfield wide and funning a go along the sidelines, but there was a false start.

They'll use Weaver in there a lot if SA goes down so I don't think there will be a true handcuff for him.

Mo was useless from a fantasy perspective last year when he started for SA. I don't think that would change if SA sits at all this year.
