what's the take on Alge Crumpler? sorry if there's a thread on him elsewhere, but I did a search and couldn't find him.

he did good with Atlanta, had a bad year last year with Vick out and all that....now he goes to TEN which historically uses its TE's a lot (Wycheck for example), and has a QB similar in style to Vick.

does Crumpler rebound in this situation? would he be the same as before, or even better on a team like TEN which is well-coached by Fisher?

I like him this year as a top 10 TE.

He was my sleeper TE. Young QB's tend to highlight the dumpoff. He's one of the best at catching them.

He hasn't looked that good in pre-season - plus Young seems to like Scaife a lot. I am tempering my expectations for him.

Not only has he not looked great in pre-season, he was a little slow to get up last week and it looked like he was experiencing some knee pain. I don't think it was reported as an injury, but I don't yet trust his knee. As good has he has been historically, why did Atlanta just "let him leave"? Plus, Chris Johnson is expected to get 40-60 percent of snaps at RB, so I would expect CJ to steal some dump offs from the tight ends.

The Titans have traditionally used their TEs extensively, often more than WRs, but they've never had anything like CJ either. I think they feed just enough to Crump to make him an effective decoy.
