i was going to post in the... is michael lewis going to lose his job thread, but since considine may be in the process of supplanting him (if he hasn't already), i thought he deserves his own thread so we can track his progress this season...

first half against JAX in gusty conditions...

nice 4-1 box score

lewis isn't in the box score that i could see, unless i missed him...

though they did get gashed by JAX ground game, & lewis is better in run support...

not sure how much of the damage (if any) was attributable to considine as i didn't see the game...

seemed like the OL was just blowing the DL off the ball every snap :(

I have never seen him play...what is his long term prognosis? How are his tackling skills, coverage skills and range? Thanks, and I hope I didn't miss info elsewhere.

Dynasty value?Lewis is in a contract year, right? he will be gone next year?Sean a lock? Smart player if remember rightly.

while considine isn't a monster run stuffer like an extra-LB that lewis is, the team reportedly thinks he has the skills to an effective & reliable open field tackler, & maybe even more reliable last line of defense than lewis represented...

you don't get style points for the sledge hammer hits, and sometimes the kill shot artists are more likley to completely whiff...

not dissing lewis, & i think quite a few team would like to use him in adrian wilson role, but i do think lewis is gone after this season & job is considines unless they draft safety like laron landry in first couple rounds...

as to future, that position has been super productive lately (hard to say how much was because of position & role within sceme & how much was lewis), so he could definitely be worth stashing away if you have bench space... i don't know if he has top 20 upside or better, but there is so much fluctuation with DBs from year to year that i like to add a few promising developmental types or breakout candidates each year on some of my rosters just as a numbers game, to increase chances i add 1-2 guys that might turn into something...

that strategy led to adding in some leagues guys like hope, marshall, bethea, sean jones, eric green...

I hope you are right i just got MLewis thrown into the following deal...he was by far not a key player in the deal but from my pov really helped me say yes to it, yeah there is risk he doesnt land in a good spot but i think worth the risk...Keg gives:

Kellen Winslow(8),

Kiwanuka(4) &

Shaun Williams(2)

Team Clinton gives:

Carnell Williams(5)

Courtney Anderson(2)

Ryan Pickett(1)

Stephen Cooper(3)

Matt Wilhelm(3)

Michael Lewis(4)

remember parenthesis are contract years and TEs get 1pt/recp and all others get .5/recp
