Beckham is actually decent with his left foot, but I don't need him to score goals anyway. I need someone that can play in Pele on the ground and Gullit in the air.George Best on Beckham.
P.S. I think Beckham is a fine RM for a team with the right striker.
Love the Mascherano pick. He was my pick when I took Toure, then I convinced myself I needed a box-to-box type of midfielder instead of a "#### you up" type. I may regret this.
I do in U11 EVERY week. We have been for three years now. We even played up at U10. I hedge my bets by having a burner back there in our 3-1-3 who can catch kids from behind usually. I have ten track stars out of our thirteen rostered. It helps me to be able to push skills developement as their speed usually covers up big mistakes in games. It's pretty risky without solid refereeing. I don't think I would ever play it in kids leagues.
My kids are pretty high level and have played year round for years. Most train with Revs Academy coaches ten to twenty five hours over the year. My son has probaby done around a hundred hours this year. Most of our kids have a great firstfirst touch and they have all the moves. Half of my 10/11 year olds are doing Maradonas just walking from the car to the field. What Ramsey said. It's a balance.Usually because of time, i guess. we're lucky to get these kids 2-3 times a week.
They need to learn, for sure, but if I'm a u16 coach, I rather need to teach the kids tactics than something they should already have...like ball skills, touch , dribbling. I've had kids that new all the tactics, positioning(too many fifa games) but couldn't pass the ball into the ocean if he was on a pier.
Weah too late, by my reckoning...I loved watching grainy RAI footage of him, when the opportunity presented itself...It's a back and forth debate between which African is the best of all time. It boils down to two players usually, and the fact that this guy has a Ballon d'Or and the other guy doesn't was the lone tiebreak for me. But you can easily make the argument that the other guy was better. This guy didn't have the international career that the other had, but then again, he played for ####### Liberia, what do you expect?
Plus, this guy is a politician, and I may need him to argue my team out of fines and fraud.![]()

During his prime in the 1990s, Weah was regarded as one of the best strikers in the world, and was lauded for his work-rate, as well as his physical and athletic attributes, which he combined with his finishing, technical ability, creativity and skill.[25] A fast, powerful, physically strong player, he successfully filled the void left in the Milan attack by club legend Marco van Basten.[3][25][26] In addition to his pace, dribbling skills, and goalscoring ability, Weah was also a team-player who was capable of creating chances and assisting goals for team-mates.[27][28] Along with Ronaldo and Romário, Weah was seen as a modern, new breed of striker in the 1990s who would also operate outside the penalty area and run with the ball towards goal, during a time when most strikers primarily operated inside the penalty area where they would receive the ball from team mates.[25][29][30]
Named African Footballer of the Year three times and becoming the first African to be named FIFA World Player of the Year, his prominence in the 1990s led him to be nicknamed "King George".[26] Weah received further recognition in 2004 when he was named by Pelé in the FIFA 100 list of the world's greatest living players.[2] In 2013, Italy and AC Milan legend Franco Baresi named Weah in the greatest XI he has ever played with.[31] As well as being regarded as one of the greatest African footballers of all time, during his career Weah also stood out off the pitch for his initiatives to fight racism in football.[3]
"An exceptional goalscorer, it is no exaggeration to describe him as the precursor of the multi-functional strikers of today. Quick, skilful and boasting a powerful physique, fierce shooting power and deadly finishing skills, in his pomp Liberia's 'Mr George' was rightly considered one of the giants of the game." — FIFA profile of George Weah.[25]

Tigana with frequent bathroom breaks...
Nope. Romario will just score 3 toe pokes and we'll take the 3-1 win.
Wasn't he already taken?PIK95 said:I need some tough guys. I am passing on an all timer to take...

This dude won a couple of world cups and should have been long gone. I'll take him. Guy even scored 180 goals from the back. Crazy.
"
He was called "El Gran Capitán" (the Great Captain, nickname of Argentine Independence heroe José de San Martín) or "El Kaiser" (an allusion to Franz Beckenbauer) because of his leadership ability, his passion, and his organisational prowess on the field. He was a defender who often joined the attack, and helped generate and finish offensive plays. He was the top scoring defender, with 134 goals in 451 matches, a record since broken by Dutch defender Ronald Koeman.[3]
His aerial game was effective both defensively and in attack. He scored frequent headers in spite of his average height (1.73 m). He was an excellent free kick and penalty shooter. He was also noted for using his elbows against rivals whilst managing to avoid the referee's gaze. "

Jose Antonio Camacho is a legendary footballer of Real Madrid who is considered as the greatest full-back in history of Spanish football. Camacho played as left-back, was noted for his top-level strength, stamina and aggressive style of play. He was not a technical specialist but possessed leadership, bravery, winning mentality and consistency. In spite of a knee injury which put his career on hold for two years, He still played for Spain national team in four big tournaments and played for Real Madrid 577 matches in overall competitions. Camacho was a captain for his club and nation for years.
I need someone to provide width on the left side, and Camacho can certainly go up and down.
huh, sounds like my wifeSheet has been having problems for me today... not always available, closing unexpectedly, etc.
Nándor Hidegkuti (3 March 1922 – 14 February 2002) was a Hungarian football player and manager. He played as a forward or attacking midfielder and spent the majority of his playing career at MTK Hungária FC. During the 1950s he was also a key member of the Hungarian National Team team known as the Golden Team. Other members of the team included Ferenc Puskás, ect.? In 1953, playing as a deep lying centre-forward, he scored a hat-trick for Hungary when they beatEngland 6-3 at Wembley Stadium. Playing from deep, Hidegkuti was able to distribute the ball to the other attackers and cause considerable confusion to defenses. This was an innovation at the time and revolutionised the way the game was played.I'll take Nandor of the hill people if he's still there and regroup.

Shevchenko was a force of nature for Dynamo Kyiv and when healthy at Milan: strong, fast and lethal with his head or either foot. By the time he got to Chelsea, he'd lost a critical half step and was uncomfortable in the role of a solo striker. He'll be teamed up with John Charles in my setup. The Gentle Giant will be positioned a bit further forward to hold play up freeing Sheva up to create and clean up. Everybody has to play defense on my team; Shevchenko isn't a former center-back like Charles but he was called upon to provide more defensive cover in Lobanovskyi's system than is typical for modern forwards.11.06 Andriy Shevchenko CF Ukraine
