Alou couldn't catch 1 in 4 hit right at him. Not sure why he thinks that one was a slam dunk.

He would have, his glove was directly below the ball. Even Soriano, who can't catch ####, caught the exact same foul ball last week. It was amazing, identical play, an idiot father and son in what I think were the Bartman seat and one right beside it, reaching over the fence to try to catch the foul ball, They whiffed and Soriano made the play. Then he stared for about 10 seconds at them!

I guess he figured whatever he would try to say they wouldn't understand anyway.heroWill he make up his mind already? I need to know if should consider Bartman a hero or just some guy who caught a foul ball.In any case, if it wasn't him, it would have been one of the other 10 guys who were trying to catch it.

If Alou wants to move on and let Bartman live in peace, stop bringing it up! His flip-flopping is only bringing up what was a dead issue to most, certain loony Cubs fans being the exceptions.

Not at all. In most cases like this, it is the bonehead casual fans who love to blame anyone they can, as long as it isn't the actual team.
