Always start your studs... (1 Viewer)

I'm a big CJ fan and took him 2.1. obviously he's a disappointment Do you bench him? This isn't wdis. I have lesser names outperforming him, but i keep starting him...What are other CJ owners thinking about his season?

He has reached the point where he isn't going to turn it around. Move on to better performers. There's a point where a stud isn't going to be a stud anymore. One of the FBG's wrote an article about it.

was tomlinson covered in the article? i hope he can turn it around. to answer the original post, no i wouldn't consider him a MONSTER STUD-BOY anymore, but could i bench him for a mike furrey type? probably not, despite the fact that furrey has put up better numbers.

I've been starting him every week.

His production has been solid but not spectacular. Those that want to say that Chad is falling off have just not watched the games. He gets open all the time, but the line just isn't giving Palmer time to throw the ball. Plus Palmer just does not look like he's throwing comfortably (maybe not using his legs quite right to generate the velocity) and a lot of his throws seem to be going high.

What I'm saying is that Chad is still a top level talent who can get open all day and make the tough catch, but his situation with a clearly not 100% Palmer and a banged up O-line dictate that Chad owners should look at their rosters and contemplate other options. Not saying to bench Chad for bargain basement WRs, but his performance this year mandates that he is not a "must start" in 2007.

Great potential buy in dynasty, however.

He gets targeted like crazy. I have been starting him every week, just waiting. If you have a consistent performer behind him, I would think about it. If all you have is a Furrey type behind him I would stick with Chad.

If Larry Fitzgerald was able to work in more than 50% of the plays this week, I would finally bench 85 for him. However, as of mid-week, it looks like I'll have to put Chad back in for another week. Maybe the Bengals will make getting him the ball a priority ala TO in Dallas.

I have Driver at Minn, Stallworth vs. Washington, Coles at NE, and Chad Johnson at SD. I am thinking about benching CJ for 2 of the other 3. Any ideas who?
