Amazon Prime (3 Viewers)

I have prime and I'm pretty sure the pantry credit is for shipping only. Not for merchandise. Can still be a good deal if pantry stuff is on sale. Nice not to have to lug paper towels or toilet paper home from the market.
Is this true? I probably have like $30-$50 of those $5.99 credits saved up already and was hoping to get most of a box paid for.
yeah, pretty sure it's clear that you can only use one $5.99 credit per transaction

I skip out on the credits. There's a reason Amazon is offering it in the first place.

They had a free 8-day STARZ subscription. Apparently it's available through the Prime platform now. I'm not going to keep it long-term, but they have some great shows (Black Sails, The Highlander, DaVinci's Demons). I had a pretty crappy day on Monday and powered through 2-seasons of The Highlander. I really liked it. I watch a lot of Prime stuff on my mini-iPad. Probably more than I do a TV.

Read this. You can get these promos to stack and get some pretty good deals. I have gotten a few boxes worth of items at pretty attractive prices - just have to fill the box as minimally as you can to get the PANTRYDEC promo to also apply on top of the no rush shipping credit.

Thanks for this. Decent prices on some lysol products with a clip coupon so got a couple free with a pantry credit. Only spent $14. Only works on select pantry items. 5 dollar underground credit appears to stack as well.

What is up with Prime shipping being 4-5 days??? The procrastinator in me always depends on on Amazon for a few last minute presents, but everything i try to grab has free standard shipping and no option for 2 day or next day

Only so much water you can squeeze from a stone. UPS/USPS are swimming in it and can't keep up. Better for AMAZON to be honest about how long it will take than say 2Day Shipping, not be able to deliver on it and have to dole out free months of Prime.

I got a Tuesday promise on something I ordered on Thursday which, quite frankly, sucks. However, it delivered on Saturday. Promise doesn't mean when you will get it, just what they can guarantee with certainty given a wide variety of factors

So what is different this year than past years? Did they get burned a ton last year???

This happened on a couple items for me.

So far so good. Thanks again amazon.

Just ordered something tonight. Supposed to be here thursday. Fingers crossed

Also Christmas promise is still turned on for prime
What means this?
order now. Delivered by Christmas I believe
even if it says otherwise on the item page?
No - what it says on the item page is the promise. If you are not Prime super saver deliver for Christmas is over. Prime members should still be able to order most items by Christmas, although 2 day delivery will start to be turned off over the course of today. After that next day/same day will be the only options left.

Same as other years. This is pretty normal at this point in the season (ie UPS is crapping the bed yet again)

Had to call customer service multiple times over a refund issue that they kept screwing up. Asked for some free prime months as compensation and they gave me a $5 credit. Better than nothing

Online orders have been up. UPS was more or less hiring helpers off the street to ride with their drivers. Same with Amazon.

I am still seeing Free 2 day shipping on Prime items deliverable by Christmas Eve.

I would hesitate to trust it, and would pay for overnight shipping at this point just to be safe.

Drove by the local mall this afternoon that is usually a disaster this time of year had no traffic back up.

Think it's time to buy amazon stock.

Can't imagine being a delivery person these last few days. Between Prime Now, Same Day and Prime everyone is waiting til last minute.Live at end of a small dead end road was seemingly some sort of package delivery person turning around every 10-15 minutes today.

Drove by the mall this evening and it wasnt busy at all.

Prime's been treating us well lately, although we have a moral dilemma of sorts. Last month, we ordered a toy for my son's birthday - about $60 - and they mistakenly sent us two of them. Its been about a month, and we've only been charged for one. I think I'll contact them and see what they say. We really only need one of these, but it would make a great gift for one of his buddies.

This week, I returned a gift my dad sent to my son. I don't know what he paid, but the item was listed at $129. The return process got very confused, but the end result is I now have a credit balance on my account of $160.

We ordered a giant pack and play 4 years ago. They sent us 2 somehow. We called them to have one sent back and they just said to keep it. Imagine it would have cost more to send it back than it was worth? I was pretty surprised.

Same thing happened to me with a 400 dollar in-wall safe. I gave the other one to my parents.

First real issue with Prime. Ordered something for my wife on 12/20, guaranteed delivery by 12/24. UPS shows it left Nashville today, and delivery date is 12/29. Contacted Amazon but they said they talked to UPS and they had failed to scan the package and it's out for delivery. I highly doubt I'll see it before Christmas.

Within the past 3-4 months we have received 2 different Prime shipments sent to our names at our address that we never ordered. Both times we contacted Amazon and they said to just keep the shipments. Unfortunately both shipments were only in the $20-$40 range and had stuff that we didn't really care for. They did tell us that this sort of thing happens more often than they like to admit.

"Issue with UPS..." seems more accurate here.

So, when does a year subscription to Prime hit $199?

I make a fraction of the typical FBG makes, and I'd pay it in a heartbeat.

Another year of Christmas shopping finished without stepping foot in a dreadful retail store alone would be worth that.

Update...I did get the package today. Was very odd though as once it was shipped UPS showed a delivery date of today, then yesterday updated the delivery date to 12/29. I get notification of scheduled deliveries from UPS as well as changes, which is what prompted me to contact Amazon. First time I have ever had UPS change the date to a later date and then deliver early. I will occasionally get a delivery earlier than UPS had originally scheduled but hadn't seen this before which is why I reached out to Amazon.

I went to 2 stores for 2 items at lunch.

Everything else amazon. Been this way for years. Thumbup

My sons each got the new $49.99 Kindles for Christmas. One feature I was looking forward to for them was downloading prime videos, but I can't seem to find anything with the download button in the Amazon Video app. Am I missing something? Pretty sure it's a compatible device and I set up one of my sons as an adult member of our house ok so he can use prime benefits.

Has to be the same account to use Prime Video AFAIK.

I thought Amazon Prime was all video streaming.

Click on the amazon video app, go to movie you want to DL and on the left side it should say download.

I have noticed some movies don't have this option

Only thing I found so far is Bosch episode 1 that has a download option and I downloaded it successfully. Looks like some other Amazon originals have episode available to download. A Shaun the Sheep show had a grayed out download button and said its already been downloaded on another device. Maybe I have to be logged into the main account.
