Anarchy Opens His Concert Vault Again: Led Zeppelin (1 Viewer)

Anarchy99

Footballguy
Here it is, ladies and gentleman. The long awaited assault of the mighty, mighty Zeppelin. Using the philosophy of "be bold or go home", I'm going to be bold.

So let's kick this off, FREE to anyone that wants it, THE ENTIRE collection of known Led Zeppelin soundboard recordings. I believe there are 107 performances included here. Almost 4 DVDs worth of music (I will fill up any free space with some Page & Plant soundboard shows).

I will say this, it does not get better than this. Of the thousands of shows I have in my collection, this is the grand jewel. Based on performance and sound quality, I can't beat this one. There are some shows you will feel like Zeppelin is performing in your living room.

If you ever got anything from me before, no matter how much you liked whatever that was, this trumps it. If you don't like this one, you just are not a music fan. It's that simple.

It's not looking good for any of us to be able to experience them live again, this is as close as you can get.

I am going to manage this one differently this time, as the other times I gave stuff away, my in box kept getting full. So instead, post IN in this thread, I will reach out to you for your name and address when I ready to send something to you. Requests handled in the order that they appear.

Note that I am in the process of putting everything together, so it my be a week before I get to you . . .

Anarchy, I am in.  I have a considerable collection of Zep boots already.  I would be happy to return the favor to you of any I have that you do not, although I am guessing you probably have most everything I already do.

Forgot to mention that I am cleaning up some of the shows so they sound even better (balancing channels, normalizing volume, basic clean up if needed, etc.). Just doing my part for the war effort . . .

I'm in for this one as well.

first one I signed on for was GnR, which was just a week or so ago, but I haven't received it yet to know exactly what I'm getting.  big Zep fan though, so whatever it is I'll love it.

you should have my name and address already.  if not, shoot me the PM.  Thanks, man!

In sir.    You are the man.

Anarchy is blowing my mind!!!

I'm totally in on this one as well. You already have my info, but I'll be happy to PM it again

No one should conclude I already have their information. I have to empty my inbox pretty much every week. That being said DON'T send me your info right now. I will ask for it when I am ready.

Oh man, this sounds great.   I would love to get in on this one.  Per Your last message, I will hold off on pm'ing my info until you're ready.

I'd love to get in on this as well. I'll be taking my name off the GnR list. (don't want to be greedy since I just got the Prince stuff too)

Will send it with GNR, but you'll have to wait until LZ is ready. In your case, I still have your address.

LOL. A bit too late for that. The doorbell ringing in the next few minutes should be the postman bringing you your copy of GNR.

I feel the same way.  I'll pass on this one since I prefer GnR to Zepplin :dodges fruit: and don't wanna be greedy (too late?).  Great stuff though.  Anarchy is the man!

I got in on your Pink Floyd offer.  At the time I just jumped without even thinking to ask about how this all came to be.  I figure there is an interesting story here about your hobby, the extent of it, your devotion to music and what spurred that, and maybe your favorite band or artist and your opinion as to the greatest concert ever given your background.  Shamefully I just gobbled up the goodies without ever getting to know the story of the host.  I have to say, I am interested.  Former D.J., own band, shut-in who was comatose and revived by the dulcet sounds of Hot Tuna drifting into your sick room.  What's the story?  Oh, a referral to an extant thread on this is fine.

Also, yes, I would appreciate getting in on this.  Thanks for offering.

Funny, no one ever asked for the back story.

I grew up on classic rock and was an avid concert goer back in the day (when concerts were affordable). You literally could go to a year's worth of concerts for what it costs to take a few people to a big show these days. Been to hundreds of shows. Far and away, I have been to see Blue Oyster Cult the most out of anyone. Gotta be close to 30 times by now. Was thinking about it the other day, I went to see Billy Joel at least once with every girl I ever dated / married.

I was a DJ in college and got comped tix to tons of shows and was a regular at Toad's Place in New Haven. Also knew people that owned a club where up and coming bands played. I can say I never heard of Nirvana when I saw them (and no one else really had either).

Ever since, I work for myself and have been able to access the Internet without restriction for 20+ years. I get to listen to whatever I want all day long. Factor in all sorts of trading, downloading, etc. and the rest is history.

Now that I am older, tix are too expensive and I am not as into the modern music scene. Going to shows is more of a hassle (and as already mentioned, costs an arm and a leg). I'm just as happy listening to a show from someone I like in their prime than shelling out big money to a newer group that I know only a few songs.

Zeppelin and Floyd are the two groups most represented in my collection. Like everyone else, I go through phases. I try not to listen to too much Floyd these days, as I find that I get too depressed with repeated listening. My kids are into hip hop and rap, so I am trying to at least give that style a chance. Can't say that it's rubbed off on me yet.

Will do a best of Floyd again in the coming months, pulling together the best of what I have into a couple of DVDs. Will do Beatles soon enough and Springsteen over the summer. You'd be amazed at what you can find over 20 years, especially if you know where to look.

I also was very curious about this, but felt stupid asking because I figured everyone knew what was going on.
