Can it stop now...... When I even see it on the Weather channel, thats too much.

I'm sick of it Now......

Can we get back to topics that really matter now.......

Who does this effect the most fantasy wise on the Packers now?..... good or bad?

Ya, it's been like two hours of coverage for a guy that's played for nearly two decades. Now let's get back to the real important business of where DJ Hackett is going to sign.

No kidding. And the # of posts and threads and time dedicated to him doesn't even come close to matching Vick and the Pats and is a much more worthy topic to discuss, IMO.

But spending days and days on what college guys run the fastest and run circles around cones is worthwhile news? You can add up all the rookies together talked about on these boards the last 2 weeks and they all will come up short to what Brett Farve means to Green Bay fans and what he's accomplished in the NFL.

Well, let's be honest. Favre's retirement has been covered for over two years now, and his on-field accomplishments and "love for the game" have been covered in every Pack game for about 8 years. It may be too early to say, "I am sick of the Favre coverage", but yeah, I am sick of the Favre coverage. Not gonna get mad about it, after all, it is his day. Guess it's just a good day to go to the library.

That's what should happen when an icon from the game retires. He's one of the most popular NFL'ers ever, he deserves it....

Yeah, I know. That's what I just said. I was pointing out that this retirement has already been discussed at length for years, so I think someone can be forgiven if they are already tired about hearing about it.

But yet you can't help yourself clicking and posting in all of the threads regarding the topic. :stalker:

It'll probably be like this when Tarvaris Jackson and Kyle Orton retire someday. ;)
A new era of the 'Black and Blue' division begins in 2008. It's gonna be ugly. Can we get as many Favre threads going as we had New England threads? Is that even possible?

Dude! This is one of the greatest football players to ever play. So his retirement is a big news story, at least in the realm of sports. So they (media) are obviously going to give him a lot of accolades and attention. Did you expect this story to simply be a running thread on the bottom line, a footnote so to speak..... :pickle: :X

Retire or quit becuz the little whinner did not get Randy Moss.....I live down in MS by where he lives.....and as much as everyone up there in GB land loves him.......people who encounter him down here hate him for being.....well.....do i even need to say he has the biggest ego ever.

But for all you people who dont want to admit he is a bag-o-d*****, i'll admit he is in the top 3 of all time u ask me...

The next 2 hours will be the most important 120 minutes of your life. Do the following:Go to your local community college and register.

Sign up for English 101.

Go to the bookstore and purchase the text book for the English 101 class.

Schedule your life around this class so that you may never miss a single second of it.

You're welcome and good luck.

Brett Favre retiring will be the biggest news for ESPN, NFL Network, SI, etc for the next month, but with the NFL Draft approaching it'll eventually die down.

Does anyone really think Bret is retiring for good. I sure don't. Is he going to drink, drive tractor and shoot guns in Mississippi for the rest of his life? Let's quit gnashing our teeth over this and wait for his unretirement in about 3 days.

Like Stephanie Abrams?

at least it bumped all the Eagles rumors / speculation / bs down a little bit regarding a WR or trading Lito.
