With more of a 4-3 look in New England this year, what kind of sack/tackle potential can we expect from Carter?

they just signed Shaun Ellis too.

Carter, Haynesworth, Wilfork, Ellis up front in a 4-3?

I guess they could also play Wright with the starters and use Carter more in nickel situations.

I have been holding on to Carter in a dynasty league hoping he would move back to DE on some team. He was a monster at DE for me 2 years ago. Sure looks like the Pats are loading up for a lot of 4/3 looks with the personel that they have aquired. The question is, how much does Carter still have left in the tank?

You know, it remids me of that old phrase, "Observe the masses and do the opposite". It's like BB looked around at how many teams are adopting the 3/4 and how much 4/3 type guys would be sittingout there in FA for cheap and said "Thanks boys, I'll take that". One thing we know about him, epecially if you've read either of the biographies on him,is that he is a VERY deliberate guy.

Jean, John, Sig, AB, et Co., I'd love your thoughts.

Still glad Green Bay went with the 3-4 and used it (and former players and coaches) against the Steelers.

How many teams use the 4-3 and 3-4 now? I'll check

This from a reporter there

@Greg_A_Bedard: Early but he looks the part. Really good motor to and past the whistle

Carter could return to his IDP valuable days lining up as a pure 4-3 DE in NE, however I remain concerned that his #'s may be hindered by a DE rotation in New England. Keep a close eye on this as the preseason unfolds.
