Andre Johnson owners...if benching against SEA, for who? (1 Viewer)

My only option is Kembrall

AJ hobbled and playing seattle suggests you shouldn't start him and if we don't, he will of course go for at least 100 & 2.

Deciding between AJ and Streater....ugggh

I'd Nelson wasn't on a bye I wouldn't have this worry. But being out gunned on paper this week I may roll with him anyway.

I'm trying to decide between DeAndre Hopkins (also vs Sea) or Santonio Holmes (@Ten)

I benched him for Stevie Johnson, but now I have to play him as it looks possible that Vincent Jackson might be held out thru week 5. It's either Johnson or Santonio Holmes for me (if Jackson is out) so I'm going with Johnson.

If Sherman is going to shadow him like he did Boldin, I feel you bench him. Andre is hobbled and obviously not 100%. If he were 100%, then I don't think Sherman has earned the Revis-respect yet and you'd have to start him. Him being hobbled though offsets that.

Has there been any talk of Sherman shadowing or not?

I actually read on roto some time this week that he would see more of browner and that hopkins would see more Sherman. Sorry no link

I read it also. Starting him with confidence.

I don't have a real good feeling either way.

I currently have Bowe in and I am flirting with Broyles.

If he was healthy I would probably just start him, but not healthy and after seeing how they shut down Bolden I don't think I want to chance it.

Putting Sherm on the rookie?! Well, guess I'm playing Holmes over DeAndre now. Was already leaning toward it, this just helps make up my mind.

If the source of the report was actually credible and not just some blogger with a hunch ...

Don't bench your studs and play the matchups. You will be sorry.
I generally agree with this but a hobbled AJ versus Stevie isn't really that big of a talent/production difference in my opinion. Add in the matchup and I think it's a reasonable move. Might really be a conservative play where you are favored in your match up and if you are the underdog, you start AJ. Benching him for someone like Andre Roberts or something would be dumb though, IMO.

Shorts had a huge game last week. Steve smith caught a td in week 1. Whats the issue here again?
One catch for 15 yards in the first half.

Two catches for 9 yards in the second half before the starters were pulled.

Five catches for 119 yards playing against the second team.

Zero touchdowns.

Good thing fantasy points don't stop accumulating when starters are pulled.

I think the argument is that it's not anticipated to be a blowout, thus we won't see the second unit.

I'm debating sitting Johnson, but I find that when I do stuff like that, I always get burned.

So who are your other options to start over him? I currently have Bowe in for AJ

I currently have Hartline/E Sanders and Holmes in there. Royal/AJ on Bench. I'm probably an idiot/over thinking this all but I think Sanders clicks this week against the Vikings and Hartline is a solid high floor. I've made it a habit to go with my gut this year since if I'm going to lose, I'd rather it be my stupidity and not some ranking list.

Am still wavering on the third slot though (Holmes or AJ). Think I'll go AJ, but not happily.

I don't hate him here, but I'll roll with edelman, because I'm a pats fan, wayne vs a beat up jags secondary, and d-jax.

oh, and witten at flex

Starting AJ with confidence. Tom Jackson on Sunday NFL Count Dwon says Sherman on Johnson is the key matchup to watch.

I think HOU will have to throw to have a chance to win. I'm rolling with AJ.

With Browner back, I would imagine that they will each just play "their" side of the field rather than follow like Sherman did against SF. Browner was out that game but Hawks typically just play their corners on each side of the field.

I have Steve Smith on bye too.

I'm stuck with Kendall Wright or Stephen Hill over Andre here. I think I'm going to go Andre.

Good info thanks.. would you rolll with AJ or Bowe?

Rolling with AJ but not expecting much. I also don't think I'm going to need too much in this week so it's a lower risk this particular week.

It's also worth a thought if Hopkins warrants Sherman moreso than an injured Andre.
