Apparently the L version on Android coming this fall will increase battery life by about 38% on all of our phones.i think my battery ife is improving marginally with the update, which is cool.
unrelated mostly but i switched from chrome to cheetah browser on my phone. LOVE IT. super fast and the "cards" bit is reminiscent of webOS.
Nexus 4 is absolutely getting the L update after combing through the source code that was released yesterday.Hulk you have an N4 don't you? I read a comment somewhere else that referenced the N4 not going to get the L update. This makes no sense to me since it will only be 2 yr old and it is a Nexus device. Any truth to this?
ART will be the default runtime in the L os.anyone switch from Davlik to ART runtime? problems? improved speed?
also, upgraded to 4.4.2 this weekend...the new lock screen. otherwise...meh, havent noticed any difference
I'm still planning to switch my service to Page+ because of the battery on the Maxx. I found someone that could flash the phone from VZW to P+ for my mom to use. She's been using it for a few weeks now. Seems to be going well for her.Apparently the L version on Android coming this fall will increase battery life by about 38% on all of our phones.i think my battery ife is improving marginally with the update, which is cool.

Happy to be wrong about this. Got 4.4.2 pushed overnight.S3 on Verizon, Still on Jelly Bean. I'm guessing Verizon never pushes KitKat to the S3.I doubt the S3 will get this update... and if it does, it likely wont be for a looooong time. In fact, I dont think the S3 is even on Kit Kat yet.. is it?I hope this doesn't come mess up my GS3 like the latest update.
Nexus updates are direct from Google. Other phones get updates from your cell provider.
What version in the S3 on now?
The Moto X has had this since release. It's a really neat feature, especially while driving. The new Google Search has an option within in it to activate the "ok google" command even from a locked screen, or when the phone is "idle"
example: if im paying in bd I can now say "ok google, set an alarm for 9am" and it does it without touching the device. pretty sweet
still in its infantile stages so some bugs. but awesome regardless

Do you mean wipe data/factory reset?Load the factory imageAny suggestions on what to do here?
not exactly, but that will happen. I mean use fastboot to flash the actual factory image that google publishes.Do you mean wipe data/factory reset?Load the factory imageAny suggestions on what to do here?
If I do that I assume I'll have to reload all of my non-stock apps. Does that have to be done one at a time or is there a fast way to do that? Also, I assume I'll lose all of my pics/movies. Correct?
