Nice play calling on your 4 1st and goals idiot. 2 times they had the ball at the 5 and 4 and they either didnt run Shady, or took him out of the game. This after their run game was KILLING the Saints.

Not to mention, STOP trying to call pass plays like you have a good O-line. How about some screens to Shady, slants, bubble screens to Jackson etc...How he continues to allow Vick to drop back and pass is beyond me. He doesnt have time to let plays develop downfiled you jackwagon. How do you throw one screen pass to your best player all game when 1) you're down the entire time 2) you have no time to throw regular passes?

i agree about the oline for sure. but there are plays you can call i.e screens to rb's, slants, bubble screens to djax, that help to hide your o-line shortcomings. he's using Vick as if they still have a good o-line. 5 and 7 step drops?? come on, thats the crap that got Martz fired in Chicago with Cutler.

I agree but in the NFL, that IS the way it is. Every team in the league is looking at a "next man up" situation at a key area. that is what distinguishes the bad from the good coaches in the NFL. The bad ones go into the tank and can't adjust. The good ones push on. It is hard for me to look at the Eagles, with their overall talent, and that bad o-line and questionable QB play and not think "if the Cardinals can survive, you can too." Its really a situation that has me going in two different directions because I don't think Andy is a bad coach. He has been great for Philly and I kinda want to say "careful what you wish for" to all the people asking for his head. But at the same time, he has been terrible this year. I don't know how you don't run Shady more. I don't know how you don't do soemthing to help Vick understand where the pressure is coming from on any given down. I don't know how you fire your DC and scapegoat him like that.Maybe its just simply a thing where there is a shelf life for a coach. He's not bad but he's not good here anymore. A guy like Steve Fisher had that same feel to it in Tennessee. He seemed burned out there. He left, got re-energized, and is doing a fine job in St. louis. Maybe Reid should go that route and return elsewhere.

What about not having one backup offensive lineman who is capable of playing in the nfl? Is that Reid's fault?

I understand the issues with the O-line, but you can't continue to call plays from an empty backfield. Every time they did the Saints blitzed and the Eagles never made an adjustment. It started with the first series. Every team has injuries. But the Eagles can't seem to make the adjustments to overcome them.Peters was a big loss, but he went down in May. Mini-camp 6 months ago. Last time I checked, no team in the league had Peters at LT, yet other teams can manage to put points on the board. And Watkins was playing terrible when the "injury" appeared.

As it was with the Titan's firing Jeff Fisher, if he is fired, I suspect Eagles fans will pine for the days when they had Reid's consistency, ability to mould QB's and turn them into currency, fleece teams more often than not in trades and manage great drafts.

As I said about Fisher I will say about Reid. I would absolutely LOVE it if the Vikings scooped him up.

I don't really have a dog in the hunt. I understand McNabb was deteriorating and they had to trade him. I just think its funny that everyone thought McNabb was a big part of the Eagles problem. Seemed to me he was the perfect QB for Reid's system. Short passes, long drives...don't turn the ball over. Vick is the polar opposite.
