Andy Reid knows his Football... Kevin Kolb looks like a great pick (1 Viewer)

Please trade McNabb to the Bears, TIA.
The Bears want McWormBall? He's yours, and the sooner the better. I've endured 9 years of the Reid/McNabb error. It's no coincidence that the Eagles can plug in any QB not named Mike McMahon (I should have said 'actual NFL/CFL caliber QB') and that QB is successful. How can Jeff Garcia go 6-2 in 2006 with the essentially the same players that McNabb is now 2-4 with? I mean is Donte Stallworth THAT much better than Kevin Curtis?Make all the excuses for McNabb you want, the facts are these that when the big games are on the line...when the "leader" of the team is supposed to step up and make the play, McNabb will ultimately tense up and fail. History has shown that time and time again...

the best is McNabb's grounder on the last play of the game... they were setting up for the hook & ladder and he bounces it ..!!! CLASSIC!!!!

If Mcnabb had an all midget receiving corp he would be unstopable. Mcnabb is so overrated year in and year out its disgusting.

Oh poor you. All those NFC East championships must be so hard on you. all those playoff berths and consistently being one of the best teams in the NFC must be so hard. :goodposting: :lmao:

How many changes did the Saints have? The Bengals? The Chargers? Rams? Broncos?FYI, Stallworth isn't the only change on that team.

And what did all those NFC East championships get the Eagles? Three straight NFC Championship game losses, including 2 at home, both ending the exact same way with a McNabb interception. Hey, the Super Bowl ended the same way too, with a McNabb interception. Only that was my favorite one considering when the game was on the line the Eagles had the urgency of a lazy, Sunday stroll as time tick ticked away. It's time to really wake up here bud and notice that Emperor Andy really isn't wearing any clothes, his playcalling is dubious, his in game adjustments are non-existent and that his success was based off of Jim Johnson's defense and a mediocre at best NFC. Now, it's just an embarrassment how well every coach in the NFL, save Marinelli, have Andy's tendencies down pat. Is it a coincidence that the Eagles lead the NFL in 1st down sacks? No. It's the goal of every defensive coordinator to make the opposing teams offense 1 dimensional. Andy does that for them with his 70% pass 30% run. You could call a blitz and 70% of the time you catch the Eagles in a pass, on first down even. Amazing.

Stallworth wasn't the only change on the team? So you mean to tell me that with a defense that is improved vs the run, allowing less points per game, swapping Kevin Curtis for Stallworth and I concede an injured LJ Smith are the differences between Garcia's 6-2 record vs McNabbs 2-4? Garcia even won 3 road games late in the year against playoff teams!

So what's the difference....ah...McNabb?

You're right. I wish we could just come in 4th every year in the east. Would that be better for you? I either want a SB or an 0-16 season. Anything else is just a disappointment. :P

As for our defense being improved and not being part of the reason we're losing, I think they looked pretty good on that last drive by Griese...

For the record, I agree with you that Reid is not a good coach. I've said before I think it's time he goes. I just find "I've endured 9 years of the Reid/McNabb era" to be a little ridiculous. Plenty of fans have had to watch their team struggle through years of 4-12 type seasons. At least we've been competitive year in and year out. Sometimes the ungratefulness of Eagle fans makes me

I do not consider Andy Reid a good coach, but I do believe he is mentally ill and he just cannot help himself with this obsession with the passing game. Too many times over the 9 years of the Andy Reid Error I have seen the same deer-in-the-headlights gaze when the game is on the line. A time when a critical decision is to be made. Mostly, that decision had to be made quickly because there were no timeouts left due to being blown earlier by not getting the plays in on time.

Who can forget the ineptitude of the 2001 Eagles - 49ers game when our beloved Birds in the 4th quarter had not one, not two, not five but SIX chances to score from the one yard line. The Eagles had a mobile 240lb QB in McNabb and not ONE QB sneak???? Oh, yeah...I'm sure you remember how that debacle of plays ended...with a perfect McNabb pass to Derek Smith on 3rd and less than a yard. Cept Smith wasn't an Eagle.

In the postgame postmortem when asked about not running a QB sneak, Andy got testy and said that the 49ers put their 'big' players in and he didn't think a sneak would have worked. REALLY Andy...because the 49ers put in 315lb DT Reggie McGrew, McGrew of the 1st round BUST Reggie McGrew, and Andy was psyched out of running a near guaranteed play to get 6 points and take the lead? But he'd pass the ball in that situation. Strangely reminiscent of the Titans game last year where it was again 3rd and 1 and what do you know but a pass from Ol'Andy winds up in a Titan LB's hands. And they say a true idiot is doing the same dumb things over and over and over again.

I'd like to know how many 1 yard and less than 1 yard for a 1st down or score INTs that McNabb has thrown over the years.

I can go on, but it's too painful. As it is now I have to Jager myself to sanity.
