Has anyone else in NFL history posted 4-200+ receiving yard games in less than a calendar year?

Megatron joins an ELITE group of WR's who have at least 4-200+ receiving yard games, and he has done it in less than a full calendar year!

He is only the 5th WR to ever have 4 such games like this.

Lance Alworth and Don Hutson took nearly 2 calendar years to accomplish this.

Jerry Rice took nearly 5 calendar years to accomplish this.

Who is the 5th and final WR to do this, and how long did it take him?

IMO, Packer bias aside, Hutson's feat was far more impressive considering the time. Still quite a feat for Calvin, and I'm sure there will be more 200+ yard games to come for him.

Hennigan accomplished his 4-200+ games in 11 calendar months from October 1961 - September 1962.

MEGATRON did his from December 2011 - November 2012 [one week less than Hennigan]!

Simply amazing!

he truly is an amazing player brohans and one that i shutter to think what he would do if he had the discount double check slinging him the rock but it is a shame that even though eh does these things they still lose what a shame i sort of feel like detroit said something about gods momma or something man they just can not seem to get it right over there and then bam they are fighting over how some dude shook your hand i mean holy mackerel that is nuts but long story short megatron is one heck of a fine player and you can take that to the the bank

An awful lot of nay-sayers out there. Sure would be interested in knowing who you all have as an alternative to MEGATRON for the Best WR ever.

MEGATRON is averaging 118.25 yards per game over his last 16 games at a 17.36 yards per reception.

Rice's best 16 game stretch produced 117.88 yards per game at a 14.85 yards per reception!

MEGATRON is averaging the identical career Fantasy PPG as Jerry Rice [12.17 for standard scoring]; he is averaging more than 1 yard per reception better than Rice & he has more than 5 yards per game more than Jerry Rice.

They are nearly equal with TD's/game over their careers. With Rice edging him out at 0.67 versus 0.62 ...

Please note that I am not trying to diminish Jerry Rice in any way. He played a total of 326 games which is incredible to imagine; 20 years of absolutely stellar performance ...

Lets see, Rice had less than 1000 yds once in his first 5 seasons including 1987 when he only played 12 games but scored 22 TDS. Calvin has scored 16 TDs in 16 games for his best season and has only gone over 1300 yds twice in those 5 seasons, Rice did it 3 times. Rice also played at that level for 18 years (1985 - 2002), 17 if you throw out the year he was out because of injury (after which he still played at a high level for 5 yrs) We'll rehash this in 2025 if Megatron is still playing. Not saying he's not awesome because he is but you can't even come close to comparing him to Rice yet.Oh btw in their first 5 years they each played 76 games:

Rice - 346 for 6364yds and 66 TDs

Megatron - 366 for 5872 yds and 49 TDs.

This is exactly like the Lebron/Jordan argument

Every generation wants their players to be the best.

Jerry Rice is the best WR ever and this isn't even a conversation...as of now

Jerry Rice had

- a season with 22 TDs in 12 games

- 6 seasons over 1483 yards

- 8 seasons above 13 TDs

and he also had 1200 yards at the age of 40 in 2002 so you can't make the argument that he wouldn't translate to todays game. In fact, with the way the rules are now, he would probably be better.

I think Calvin is the best WR of THIS generation, but I don't think hes even touching Moss or Owens at this point in his career.

To me there is no upside whatsoever trying to argue Megatron is the best WR ever. I assumed the OP was schtick, but maybe some people actually believe that.

Jerry Rice as the greatest WR of all-time is the biggest slam dunk no brainer in NFL history. Actually, the only debate with Rice IMO is whether he is the greatest football player of all-time.

But with that said, it's worth noting that Jerry rose to prominence in Montana's...6th season as a starter? And with Megatron, he had to wait 5 years to have a QB with anything close to that level of talent. Not making excuses, just saying that it's hard to compare Rice's first 5-6 years (already a SB champ and annual contender with HoF QB and stellar cast around him including great RBs) with Calvin (inept franchise, rarely competitive, sieve defense, and seldom with a ground game or other pro bowl complimentary players).

The Lions are always playing from behind. Stafford has 100 yards for 3 quarters and they are down. The defenses start playing soft coverage and they load up on yardage.
