Another school shooting (1 Viewer)

So supposedly a parent of the shooter was found dead in their home and the mother was a kindergarten school teacher at the school. don't know if the mother was supposed to work that day or not. So maybe the nut was out to destroy his whole family.
So then why kill all the little kids? I dont get it

Ryan Lanza‏@Ryan__Lanza i would actually love if the world ended in 2 weeks..
That one jumped out at me, too. With two shootings this week alone, I'm afraid this Mayan prophecy bs is going to lead to a whole bunch more of this type of stuff in the next week.
Um...no.

Some of the comments on the news article about the school implementing new security was disturbing. Are there really that many people out there that think the government is hiring these psychos as an excuse to promote a control agenda?

Sick to my stomach at all of this. Feel stupidly helpless and scared for my kids. I cannot imagine what parents are going through.

Gunman killed his mother who was a teacher.

An entire kindergarten classroom wipe out.

I am literally sick to my stomach.

There are some heroes in this story. At least one teacher, perhaps more, who acted bravely and hid children when the bullets were flying. These incidents, while showing how sick and evil a person can be, also often demonstrate the best of us.

I can't remember an incident that has made me physically ill like this one.
Yeah, this one is hitting me hard too, and I don't know why it would be any different. My friend's school isn't in the district, so he and his wife (teacher too) and kids are all ok. I was in the hospital last night with one of my kids with something that turned out to be nothing serious, so maybe I'm still emotionally charged from the scare of that. Maybe I'm just getting old and soft. Regardless, this is just too much, just too sad. Just too, evil.

Can we please stop making this guy popular?
 No one is making him popular. He was a sick individual that will burn in hell.
And other sick individuals see how much attention he is getting. All these mass shootings involve some socially awkward loser who want to be special.
Then maybe we should reconsider how we treat sick individuals, instead of just casting them aside as "socially awkward losers who want to be special."

This is what I'm afraid of, there's some seriously mentally damaged people out there.I know gun control is a huge issue, but depression is almost always the cause of these things and you just can't stop someone who wants to do something like this once they've made their mind up. Thoughts and prayers to all those effected by this tragedy.

Seriously.

I can't seem to keep my emotions in check. I have actually teared up and cried a little in the last 10 minutes since I heard about this.

Now I have to keep it in check when I get my kindergartener off the bus in 10 minutes.

I'm not even going to try and understand this.

I find the interviewing of the kids to be pretty tasteless and exploitive
No kidding. These journalists deserve to be publicly shamed.
I just have this image of one cable network having the temerity to start interviewing kids and the rest standing there thinking they'd better get in on the action. And some producer calling a remote and saying he better see a crying kid, pronto. Feeding frenzy, as usual. Let by a bunch of brainless, tasteless bastards.

He kills his mother at her home, leaves and goes to her school, specifically targetting her students. I didn't think there was any way this could get worse. It just did.

I don't want to argue. But society infatuates themselves with these shootings. Their face is all over the news. We can stop making them famous when they all seem like they just want to be popular.
