Another small key to your playoff run (1 Viewer)

Small part, but ARI D/ST plays SF, DET and STL weeks 14, 15, 16. They are a free agent in my 12 man and I am seriously considering them as a platoon with the Jets.

I HATE having two D/ST's, but they may be worth it in the end. Plus, in my league you play with what you brought to the playoffs. No pickups or transactions.

Shhhhh! I've been looking at this for a couple of weeks now, I just gotta get through some bye weeks and then plan on picking them up to platoon with San Fran.

I noticed that too but I am thinking of picking up The Patriots as well I think they play buffalo and Jacksonville. Might be a dynamite combo.

I've been aware of those matchups for awhile having seen others mention it before. I'm generally a WW defense guy, play a lot of matchups, and it usually works out pretty well (unless it's Miami last Monday night. I blew that one).

Right now Zona against the Lions and Rams looks pretty good (although I won't be surprised if Stafford's Lions are clicking decently by then since they've already shown good signs). I'm not sold that you can't do better in week 14 though , playing against SF in SF, and you have to win that week for the other two games to matter. Still, it's not like it's the Colts or Packers offenses.

I just looked at the schedule for the pre-playoff push and it looks pretty good too. Home v MIN in week 13 kinda sucks (unless Favre is tossing INTs again by then), but week 12 (at TEN and likely Vince Young by then) and week 11 (Rams... weird that they play each other weeks 11 and 16, both so late in the season), and week 10 (home to Seaquacks). Not bad at all.

A lot depends on your league's WW rules. If you have to lock down your roster by week 12 or so, getting Zona early seems like a good move. If you can't get the Zona D, at that time of year there are often nice situations available that don't exist yet, usually due to injury to or benching of a starting QB.

Made a few moves to open things up to stuff the ARZ DEF/ST in my back pocket for the late season run just the other day as a part of a grand plan. I'm playing DBC with them and GBP the rest of the season with W14 as my ONLY concern (ARZ @ SFO or GBP vs BAL). Post W12 is really the end of the line for the Pack for me with those ARZ stretch run matchups so I'm willing to cut the Pack and play a matchup over ARZ @ SFO in W14 if I can't lock down my league's bye in what is our first week of playoffs.

Someone else said it well above: W16 don't matter if you trip up in W14. Two games against STL between now and W16(!) though sure have to be on forward thinkers' radars.

Yea cuz no one gives up more yds/tds passing than AZ which plays right in to these "weak" team's hands late in games...better get your pts early.
