Antonio Brown or Mike Wallace (1 Viewer)

Kinda curious to what the Jury is on who will finish near the top in Pitt. Antonio Brown looked like a Monster in the pre-season but Wallace is back and perhaps these 2 are closer to each other as we think sorta like 1a 1 b

1100 yards each. Wallace does his on 70 receptions; Brown takes 80.

In truth, I think Brown will be the guy, though seeing Wallace used in the short game on Sunday night was encouraging for showing him as more than the "go deep" guy with Brown on the other side.

Brown has led the team in targets since Week 4 or so last year. The Steelers chose to pay Brown instead of Wallace, and it appears they'll be letting Wallace walk after this season. I think the Steelers are intent on making Brown the top target. That said, Wallace is the better deep threat & could very well end up with more TDs than Brown again.

I'd rather have Brown, and he'll be more consistent, but Wallace could also be a WR2 for FF purposes.

Actually I asked Pasquino about the future of the Steelers WRs in two different posts on two different forums last year and IIRC he said Sanders (& he was very complimentary re: Sanders' energy and route running). Now last year that did not prove to be the case, but then Sanders did have some injury issues.First game out this week showed no clear leader to me. - Each got 8 targets.New OC, Haley, also throws things into a mix.Personally Sanders looks great to me and I haven't given up on him. He's out on waivers in most leagues I bet.I also just don't see Wallace doing this year what he has done in the past; his FF production was slowing up last year. Last 6 games no TDs, last 2 games 11 yards and 26 yards, first game this year 37 yards. I know Steeler fans would be way more knowledgeable on this, and I defer to them, but I happen to think, as you put it, the jury is still out.

Ben's learning from better QBs like Brees, Manning, Romo, and Brady that hitting the open guy is more effective than taking a preference of one guy over another. So whether Sanders, Wallace, or Brown have the better game will be dictated more by the defensive coverage than what Pitt does. If you can predict that on a weekly basis, you'll have a better shot at figuring out which is the better play.

The three Steelers wide receivers were used extensively in Denver. Antonio Brown and Mike Wallace ran 49 and 46 pass routes, while Emmanuel Sanders ran 38. Brown and Wallace are of course the main guys, but a healthy Sanders will continue to get targets in Todd Haley’s offense.

Antonio Brown’s three red zone targets are a nice stat to hold in your back pocket. He’ll continue getting looks near the goal line and should improve on his two touchdowns from last year by quite a few.

I wouldn't count out Sanders just yet.He's healthy and if the split continues as it did Sunday he could be the one getting the extension instead of Wallace who still hasn't inked an extension and the Steelers have said they won't be renegotiating till the season is over with.

If they keep targeting Sanders and he produces or if Mike gets injured or doesn't produce considerably better than AB or Sanders they could let Wallace go as an UFA next year.
