Any Bob Mould fans in here? (1 Viewer)

No Statues?

Favorite Husker song in my limited knowledge of them.
Workbook was always going to form the bulk of the setlist, as this is an anniversary show. It's kind of hard to think of how most Du songs would be done with guitar, bass, and cello (which is this lineup).

The_Man, just let fatguy know if you've changed your mind about a mini-cornhole. We're nothing excited, but a few of us will be there.
Figured. Ahhh, I did not know the arrangement of his new tour. Don't follow him all that much, but thought a Statues mention would go over. My love of Husker comes only from the Faster and Louder comps on Rhino.

God, Rhino did some good stuff.

Just PM'ed fatguy. Would be great to meet up pre-show, but no worries if it doesn't work out.

Since it's a Bob Mould kind of day for me (leaving for his show in about half an hour for what I anticipate will be a hellish 2-hour, 35-mile drive through Baltimore and DC rush hours)

Bob Mould has confirmed June 3 as the U.S. release date for his all-new studio album, Beauty & Ruin (Merge).

Described as “a compact epic,” Beauty & Ruin packs a staggering lifetime’s worth of emotion and experience into a 36-minute package sure to be hailed as a landmark addition to Bob’s formidable body of work.

As with 2012′s Silver Age, Beauty & Ruin finds Bob joined by his stalwart band of bassist Jason Narducy and drummer Jon Wurster, who will be backing Bob at this year’s SXSW as he debuts Beauty & Ruin material at the March 13 Merge showcase at the Parish and the March 14 AV Club day party.

Prior to that, Bob will wrap up the intimate 25 Years of Workbook mini-tour with a March 6 return to The Late Show with David Letterman and two final sold out shows March 7 and 8 at New York’s City Winery, both featuring Narducy and cellist Alison Chesley.
