Any Deep Sleepers for 2015? (1 Viewer)

My season is done, well done. Here's my league: Keep 2, start QB, RB, RB, WR,WR,WR,TE,K,D, plus 6 bench spots. rather 'standard' non PPR scoring. We expanded to 12 teams from 10 this year which led to weaker teams all around, and very little in the way of available players on the Free Agent wire.

My team has been decimated by the injury and family beating bug. Some of my roster. Adrian Peterson, Ray Rice, Victor Cruz, Pitta Rudolph, Woodhead, Streater, and some other injured yet not done players.

Like I said I can keep 2, I've been keeping Brees and AP for years now, and have usually been one of the 4 teams to make the playoffs. Yet with the 12 teams I don't even stand a chance to score high points any week this year, because I'd be lucky to find a 3rd WR or Goal line RB. Brees is old, and who knows what happens with Peterson. So....

What I am hoping is that a few of you might have an idea of some guys I could grab and hope free agency or another year 'might' lead to a potential future keeper. Maybe a guy on your NFL team who's on the roster yet often inactive. I also realize that this is the NFL and the likelihood of there being a hidden gem is slim to none, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Thanks

PS. I've been an active on this forum in years past, but can't get the log in to work this year. so i start anew, unless by some miracle my password reset finally works.

Bryce Brown may have been dropped as he has been inactive. He may get a shot next year. Don't see Spiller resigning and the ageless wonder fjax is 33. Bryce really flashed well for the Eagles, aside from the fumbles, which he did get better on preventing.

On IR- Charles Sims-RB-TAM

Justin Blackmon (if he's clean)

Less likely, but keeper potential:

Isaiah Crowell, Jarvis Landry, Andre Holmes, Odell Beckham, Tre Mason, Derek Carr, Latavius Murray, Blake Bortles, Allen Robinson, Marqise Lee, Brian Tyms

In a keeper like yours (where only 24 players are kept) the best thing you can do is hope a stud goes on IR (like Julio last year), then help the team that lost the stud by offering whatever he needs to continue winning (your whole roster if need be). You're not gonna stumble into a top 24 player.

ETA: That said the answer is Carlos Hyde or Christine Michael.

Michael for sure.....SEA will have to let Lynch walk and the offense will center more around Wilson

I think that Blackmon could be solid in this situation, assuming he will not keep AP.

AC aspect of this post: You only keep 2 players, which means top 24 type guys. Deep sleepers right now are not going to be top 24 pre-season guys next year. You probably need to work a trade for an underperforming player with 2015 upside (Spiller, Sankey) on a competing team.

SP aspect of this post: (reiterating some already mentioned players)

-Theo Riddick (Bush maybe gone next year)

-Marcus Lattimore

-Christine Michael (not sure they let Lynch go - I see a Gore-esque situation developing here)

-Latavius Murray

-Bryce Brown

-Blackmon

-Jonathan Stewart (DWill probably gone next year, maybe Stew finishes strong)

-Knowshon Moreno

-Tre Mason (if available)

-Zac Stacy (if dropped for Mason)

-Damien Williams

-Pierce/Taliaferro

-Gerhart (if dropped, maybe could turn it around)

-James White

Thanks guys, I had already grabbed Bryce Brown and totally forgot about Blackmon, some other good suggestions to keep an eye on or stash. I do recognize that there will be only 24 guys gone, and the likelihood of any of these guys being keeper worthy is slim, but we have to keep two and I may not have any other options. Might be a 2 year project, but I have the patience.

Thanks again

Does sound AC related.

I doubt there is anyone out there that is not rostered that would be worth keep 2 consideration. I agree that the concept to use in a league of this type is to sell whatever you have of value to a playoff team to improve your two keepers.
