Any "Hot" prospects right now? (1 Viewer)

One that may still be a little under the radar:

Carlos Carrasco

YTD AAA stats are 26 innings, 0-2, 4.5 ERA, 31K, 5BB, 1.23 WHIP

If he can keep his control in check he can rack up the Ks. Only other negative would be the Phillie's ballpark.

I have an empty slot in my fantasy farm system. Looking for a some hot prospect action, preferably a pitcher.
1) for some help later this year or long term value?2) How deep is leagues farm system (#teams X farm slots)?3) AL, NL, or mixed?
1) looking for long term upside2) 50 farm slots total3) mixed leagueCarrasco and Strasburg are great choices. Unfortunately they're already rostered

OK - long term SP that are at least in the Top 20 (and excluding those already listed most of whom are rostered or further away....although I do share the vote for Jarrod Parker, AZ if he is available)Brian Matusz, Baltimore - could be up late this year but likely next year LHP with GREAT potentialJeremy Hellickson, Tampa Bay - pitching Very well this yearlet me know if you need more (or check my Top Prospects lists at www.fantasybaseball.com)

Digging deep:

Marc Rzepczynski (TOR)

5-1, 3.06 ERA, 41K in 32 1/3 innings, 1.45 WHIP

6'3", 200 lb lefty

his stats are that good with a BABIP of .366

Has a chance to make something happen with June 1st call up.

Update on Hansen! If Glavine isn't able to come back by mid May the Braves are going to call up the top prospect!

Long-term?

Kelvin De La Cruz - Indians A ball

Henry Rodriguez - A's - AAA

Both are injured right now, but have decent ceilings

Some of these guys gotta be gone. While I like Hanson to get the call soon...his AAA throwing teammate deserves some attention too....Kris Medlen. I just picked him recently for one of my 7 minor league spots and dropped Jeffress (he seems to be slowing a bit in AA and he probably projects to the bullpen). Medlen might project to the Braves bullpen this year, but one injury and we could see Hanson and Medlen getting a shot for Reyes and the injured player. Just a thought...

Medlen called up to start Tuesday. Reyes to the pen.
