Its been August 10th since I heard anything on this guy. He was having issues catching the ball and looked more like a UFA than a 1st round pick.

Has anyone heard ANYTHING? 1st round picks shouldnt fall out of the news this fast.

I thought he looked good that first preseason game.What happened? They were talking like he may be the #2 and now he is behind pattan and Henderson.

Local perspective here:

Meacham is slated to start and play a lot Thursday against the Dolphins. So you can evaluate his talent in that game.

However, his opportunity right now is kind of lousy. Keep in mind Meacham wasn't drafted to step in for Joe Horn right away ... he was drafted for the mid-term future as more or less the best-player-available. He is behind Colston, Henderson, Patten, and Copper right now, and is battling Lance more for the #5 job.

Both Moore and Meacham will make the team, of course (as Moore is solid on ST). But without multiple devastating injuries to the WR corps, Meacham is going to have to wait on playing time. IMHO, he's got zero value in redraft leagues.
