Any Stallworth sightings? (1 Viewer)

For a guy who was supposed to be the hottest FA WR on the market there has not seemed to be very much interest over the first few days. I wonder if the combination of Rosenhaus' demands and Stallworth's injury history has given potential suitors reason for pause.

Hard to believe with the signings that have already taken place but the longer Stallworth is on the market the more his price would have to go down (I think). After the signings by the Pats, only if this happened would he get back onto the Pats radar screen. Even if they sign Welker, he is a slot receiver. The Pats still need an outside speed guy. Not sure if they have a FA in mind (Stallworth) or plan on using a draft choice (not necessarily a #1) to find a speed guy.

From the Eagles website...

WR Donté Stallworth Not getting much early attention. 49ers have been mentioned as interested after cutting Antonio Bryant.

FWIW, Stallworth said he would only want to go to SF if Turner stayed there.

I saw him at the hamstring store. He was looking for the buy one get one deal.

For a guy who has never broken 1,000 yards he sure gets the star publicity.

The Eagles are reportedly still "in the hunt" to re-sign Donte' Stallworth.

Stallworth hasn't made any free agent visits yet, reportedly because his believed asking price is too high. Worth noting: Philly will send a fourth-round pick, not a third-rounder, to New Orleans after trading for him last year because Stallworth made it to free agency without being re-signed.

One factor that is working against him as he hit free agency:

Donté Stallworth, the Eagles' free-agent receiver, brought some baggage with him when he hit the NFL's open market Friday.

According to league sources, Stallworth is a participant in the NFL's substance-abuse program, which could subject him to a league suspension if he were to violate the terms of the program again.

The circumstances and time frame that led to Stallworth's admittance to the program have not been disclosed, and the receiver's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, did not return phone calls last night
