League format - Start-2 QBs and you only roster the two you start. You can replace QBs off the WW each week for bye weeks or matchups or injuries etc.
OK, so I cut Favre this week. I didn't want to do it. Felt I had to do it. Seriously, things look so bleak with him right now and I need the QB production and Favre - outside of a 20-minute or so stretch against the Jets - simply hasn't gotten it done all season. Trading for Moss hasn't helped any either. So after watching him fall short of expectations once again in Week 7 I dropped him this week for Henne (I lost out in the bidding for Fitzpatrick and Kitna). With Favre hurt, I couldn't take the chance that he would either disappoint again or start and not finish. So I went with a QB who has performed at a much higher level in my league's scoring so far this season. The crazy thing is I have Moss and Harvin so I need Favre (or Jackson) to do well.
The regret I have is he's Brett Favre and he's a future Hall of Famer who less than a year ago was playing like an MVP. Plus, the matchup this week is scary good against a terrible Patriots' pass defense. But after mulling it over I just felt like I couldn't take the incompletions, the low passing totals and the inability to throw more than one touchdown per game any longer.
I'm curious if anyone else has waved the White Flag with Favre and if so who did you drop him for this week and do you have any second doubts about whether you made the right decision.
