:lmao: Playing Blount against the Skins this weekend. got Charles as my other back. I've lost my last two not solely because of CJ but I'm burnt and scared to put him in again, potential or not.
Exhibit "A"
Exhibit "A" on getting too fancy in the playoffs. If CJ was playing Pitt, maybe you consider it.How anyone could bench their top 3 overall pick going against Indy for a low ceiling guy like Blount is beyond comprehension.
In deference the fact that Blount is matching up vs WAS doesn't make it a HORRIBLE move. It is very likely blount could duplicate or surpass CJ's numbers.

In Restricted case I might have even bench Charles, as the SD run D is light years ahead of WAS/INDY.
In what universe is Blount very likely to score 30+ pts in PPR? He has scored over 20 just once this year and never more than 25. In non-ppr he would need 100+ yards and 2 td's to match CJ. That is a MONSTER game for Blount and very UNLIKELY (less than 20% chance). Add that to the fact that there have been talks all week about his ineffectiveness at the goal line and Earnest Graham maybe getting those touches. Bottom line, you have CJ with a great matchup and Blount with a great matchup. Seems like a no brainer to me.The ONLY backs I would bench CJ for (that you drafted after Round 1 to even have the option of having both) this week would be Hillis vs. Buffalo and maybe McCoy vs. Dallas. If you anyone loses their playoff game because they started Blount or someone similar over CJ, they deserve what they get.
I think you underestimate how colossally awful the WAS D is. They did let Vick put up 50 in 3/4 of a game...In fact only an inept dallas team and a battered detroit team didn't GO OFF on them. I would beg blount for 125 and a td w/ a few catches for 20-30 and a decent chance of a multiple td (especially of the break two tackles and gone variety) He runs HARD and WAS tackles SOFT.

20-30 yards catching? Just curious, how do you peg a guy for that when he has 2 receptions for 9 total yards all year. I'm pretty sure Cadillac is the go to guy when the play is pass. Very possible for him to go off but I'd say him catching balls is very improbable unless you know something.

I don't think it's very likely for Blount to duplicate 179 yards, TD. Heck, I don't even think you can call it very likely for anyone to duplicate those numbers even if they are a stud RB going against a weak run D. Blount doesn't catch balls so he has to score 2 TD or get 179 yard running on the ground which would be a tall order for anyone. He should have a decent game though. It wasn't a good call, but I agree that it isn't as horrible as it could have been.
Agreed. I had the choice and played both (blount as my flex) but even with CJ's monster game I still think Blount could pass him. His game fits the style that kills WAS, and WAS no longer has Haynesworth available. He's got young legs and power. He's like Brandon Jacobs, but much younger. Oh and slow ###, can't find his way and damn near washed up Brandon Jacobs popped this D for 8 for 103 2 22.30. Thats TWELVE AND A HALF YARDS/CARRY.
