I think you underestimate how colossally awful the WAS D is. They did let Vick put up 50 in 3/4 of a game...In fact only an inept dallas team and a battered detroit team didn't GO OFF on them. I would beg blount for 125 and a td w/ a few catches for 20-30 and a decent chance of a multiple td (especially of the break two tackles and gone variety) He runs HARD and WAS tackles SOFT.atl3695 said:In what universe is Blount very likely to score 30+ pts in PPR? He has scored over 20 just once this year and never more than 25. In non-ppr he would need 100+ yards and 2 td's to match CJ. That is a MONSTER game for Blount and very UNLIKELY (less than 20% chance). Add that to the fact that there have been talks all week about his ineffectiveness at the goal line and Earnest Graham maybe getting those touches. Bottom line, you have CJ with a great matchup and Blount with a great matchup. Seems like a no brainer to me.The ONLY backs I would bench CJ for (that you drafted after Round 1 to even have the option of having both) this week would be Hillis vs. Buffalo and maybe McCoy vs. Dallas. If you anyone loses their playoff game because they started Blount or someone similar over CJ, they deserve what they get.Hipple said:In deference the fact that Blount is matching up vs WAS doesn't make it a HORRIBLE move. It is very likely blount could duplicate or surpass CJ's numbers.Exhibit "A" on getting too fancy in the playoffs. If CJ was playing Pitt, maybe you consider it.How anyone could bench their top 3 overall pick going against Indy for a low ceiling guy like Blount is beyond comprehension.Ministry of Pain said:Exhibit "A"Restricted said:Playing Blount against the Skins this weekend. got Charles as my other back. I've lost my last two not solely because of CJ but I'm burnt and scared to put him in again, potential or not.
In Restricted case I might have even bench Charles, as the SD run D is light years ahead of WAS/INDY.
