No because Seattle is Ravens heavy version. Pats get a beat down I would enjoy watching. Very bad match up for the Pats imo.

There isn't a much better option if the Seahawks make it to the Superbowl. I doubt Denver gives the Hawks a much bigger challenge than last year. If the Colts manage to get there it might be interesting depending on which version of their defense shows up but I still don't think they have much of a shot. I guess if the Patriot's defense decides to show up it might even be somewhat competitive.

The Seahawks are vulnerable to teams that have a very strong running game. Dallas went into Seattle and just ran them over earlier this year. Kansas City ran all over them in a Seahawks loss. All of Seattle's losses are on days where their run defense sucked.
I think anyone left alive in the AFC is a good matchup for Seattle. But both Dallas and Green Bay have the running game that could knock the Seahawks out. I would still favor Seattle to win next week but would not be terribly surprised if they lost.
If there is one team built to beat Seattle, it is Dallas.

This year's Denver team is playing worse than last year's team that got smashed, so that's true in a sense. That said, their defense is healthier and they'd be going in with the knowledge that their offense matches up poorly with the Seattle defense. I could see them playing similarly to how they have lately, as a run heavy team, and hope their defense can make a play or two to make a game out of it.
That said, I wouldn't say they have very good odds of even getting there in the first place right now.

Look up Bobby Wagner. He left the Dallas game early with an injury and he missed the KC game. They've been unbeatable since his return.
ETA: I don't mean "look up" sarcastically. I mean literally look up his numbers. The guy is all over the field.

There's also the Chargers loss. The Chargers rushing game was not great that day. But the key is, they ran it 37 times anyway. They forced the Seahawks to respect the San Diego running attack, even if it wasn't that successful, and that helped Rivers have a huge game in the air.
I think a lot of teams forget that. Stick with the run because it can open things up.
That's part of why I am upset at how the Chagers moved away from the run later in the season. The running game didn't really work at first glance, but it DID WORK in opening up other things.
If I'm Dallas heading into Seattle next week, I'm gonna run it 30+ times, and I don't care if I get 3 yards per carry. I'm pounding it every drive and opening up the pass and in doing that I've got a pretty good chance of winning.

Man, it's awesome that the team I root for is the team that people just don't want to see win. I've never rooted for that team before. I hope you all get to experience that at some point in time.
I voted yes. But still don't see Den or Indy winning in NE. Seattle certainly in different league in pass coverage compared to Ravens; Brady might get half of what he get yesterday. But that might be enough as I think Seattle is offensively challenged. Then again, IMO, NE's offense isn't diverse either. It would be the Dink Bowl. Not interested.

Gronk would make enough plays to keep the Pats in it, but those little slot receivers would be mincemeat against that hard-hitting secondary. Amendola might literally be carried off on a stretcher. 
And considering how vulnerable NE is to the run on defense, Beast Mode would be licking his chops at that one.
I just don't see anybody beating Seattle this postseason. Not GB, not Dallas, not Denver, and not even New England.

That game was an anomaly. What was it, like 120 degrees on the field? Rivers and Gates played an amazing game and that was before Seattle had their team meeting after the KC game to "clear the air", which they've been infinitely better since.Riversco said:

I'll be rooting my butt off for Dallas today, even though they match up better against SEA than GB does. That game will be so hyped and Dallas fans would actually be confident going into next Sunday because they beat them at a time when a lot of things were going wrong for Seattle (Percy was traded 4 days later). No way Seattle loses that game against Dallas.

I like Seattle the city, the fans, and I'm very happy to see an underdog franchise finally have their day..... but sorry the team is so damned boring. The Panthers game was almost unwatchable. My favorite part of watching the games is the stadium and the fans. - I do agree the Pats/Hawks would be a very good matchup.

Wow I think Seattle is one of the most exciting teams to watch in football. They have a killer defense with guys who can flat out fly and hit (and talk smack). They've got a beast at RB and probably the most electrifying QB in football. What is boring about that?

If the Cowboys don't get in, I don't really care too much. I'd just like to see the winner of Dal/GB go to Seattle and win. Seattle is obviously the team to beat. Its gonna be tough to knock em out in Seattle, but the two teams playing today are definitely capable.
I don't really care about the AFC. It looks like its going to be either Denver or NE.......I have a feeling either would get pummeled by Seattle. Brady and Peyton, as great as they are, are pretty much immobile........And NE's defense looked putrid yesterday.

Really? The team that led the NFL in explosive plays that is almost more fun to watch on defense? I get that it's not fun to watch them beat your team, but what about beast mode runs, kearse and Willson making awesome plays, kam hurdling two consecutive field goals, finishing off the game with a pick 6, and Wilson having one of the most efficient playoff games in history wasn't fun if your team wasn't on the other side of it?Edit: I know you aren't a panthers fan, but I can understand how a panthers fan wouldn't have enjoyed that, so used it as an exception.

No one has a good match up with them but the Pats are one dimensional offensively. Broncos would be best match up for Seattle but don't match up well with the Patriots in NE.Raider Nation said:

Seattle Patriots would be a great game. Not sure who posted Seattle is boring, but they have the hardest hitting defense the league has seen in years. A QB who practically walks on water, and a RB who loves contact.

DEN is a better team than last year. Last year, DEN didn't have the ability to run the ball effectively. Knowshown looked like he was running in quicksand. Sanders is also a more formidable WR than Welker....plus DEN's D is a bit better. DEN can beat them. NE can't run the ball as well and their D isn't as good. I think the only way NE wouldn't get beat soundly by SEA is if BB coached the game of his life.

You realize the Pats have Belichick and not John Fox right? Don't underestimate one of the greatest coaches of all time. Pats wouldn't get blown out in a Super Bowl like the Broncos.

The rushing in the regular season isn't an issue with me in regards to a potential Super Bowl matchup. IMO, the only thing that matters is if Anderson is a more capable runner than Moreno.

SEA's secondary matches up very well with NE. Even Gronk's mismatch ability is thwarted a bit by SEA's safeties. I don't think Edelman and Amindola have any skillsets that would give them an advantage over SEA's CBs.
On the other side, Revis's benefit is negated a great deal....and I don't think NE could slown Lynch down very much.

If Rodgers didn't have the bad wheel I would be picking them to beat Sea, however I don't think GB can do it if Rodgers can't move.
Having said that, IF NE can get by Den\Indy and Sea gets by GB, NE will beat a way overrated Sea team who really haven't played anyone in the last 2 months.

I don't get your logic. You saying Seattle wins if they get an immobile Rodgers, but a less than 100% Rodgers is still more mobile than Brady and Peyton. You need a qb who can move to have a chance at beating Seattle. Luck is all that is left of the AFC teams who can move (at time of this post).

In your opinion......how would BB and the NEPs attack and be successful against the SEA D?...and let's not lay that "BB's magic and the greatest coach of all time and they use his currency as poop in Agrentina and when Brady goes to Disneyland...Mickey wears his ears" schtick....how's that offense stick it to that D?

I think people forget that these 2 teams played each other in Seattle 2 years ago and it was an extremely close game. Granted the Seahawks won, but our secondary and defense in general was a dumpster fire. Seattle hasn't changed much since then, and we've got ourselves a legit defense. Not to mention if this was the SB matchup, we'd have Brady in a dome.

Take away the middle with Gronk and use the short passing game to move the ball, occasionally take deep shots, maybe throw in a few cheat plays.
Shouldn't be too bad, biggest thing to worry about is their safeties and Sherman jumping routes.
