Anyone else starting the old timer tonight? (1 Viewer)

I am pumped, as most of you must be, about opening night of football tonight. And what a great way to start the season, a rematch of the NFC championship game. I usually don't let this influence me, but I'm starting Favre over Kolb, mainly because it's opening night and I want a little more to root for. And, I actually think, despite what many experts say, that he is a good start tonight for a few reasons. One, the revenge factor. Two, it's a primetime game, and he usually plays well in the spotlight. Three, the Saints don't have a great pass defense to begin with, and they will be without Sharper, perhaps their best DB, for tonight's game.

I know he is gimpy, on the road, and without Rice, but don't underestimate the revenge factor...he is the ultimate competitor.

anyway, anyone else rolling out the old man tonight?

My opponent is, so I'm hoping for Peterson to dominate (because I am a Panthers fan and want the Saints to lose), and Favre to fall apart.

I'm rolling with the old grey-beard. No option, I drafted Favre and Roethlisberger late. Looking for a shoot-out.

Favre is not a bad play. I think NO will score some points and Minn will have to start slinging it to keep up. Minn may not win but I think Favre may have to throw in an attempt to match the Saint's offensive output. If he can throw for 2TDs and 250 yards, that would be a solid output for a guy likely drafted as the 10-15th QB taken off the board...and then if your league subtracts for INTs you just have to hope he can keep it to 1...
