Anyone else surprised at 7-1 Arizona? (1 Viewer)

I was mainly surprised because I didn't think they had the offense to be a 7-1 team. My schema of Ariz was questions at QB, RB, and WR to a certain extent, and an offensive philosophy that wasn't getting enough out of Larry Fitz, etc. I knew they had a good D, but I'm just surprised they are scoring enough to win against some good teams. I don't buy the argument about their schedule being a mirage to this point. They've beaten some damn good teams.
The Eagles are really the only good team they've beaten, besides a Romo-less Cowboys.

Arizona, Seattle and SF all have an extremely difficult second half. Who ever comes out on top is going to be battle tested. I wonder how many times three different teams from the same division have gone back-to-back-to-back to the SB?

Last time was Giants in 1990, Washington in 1991 and Dallas in 1992. All beat Buffalo.

17 - 7 under Bruce Arians. Very impressive, without a few key defensive players as well.

Something about Arizona and those aging QBs. I would love to see this team rally to the Super Bowl.

And now we'll never know and once they start losing, it will be blamed on losing Carson. That's a shame because this team was going to go 3-4 in their final 7 games regardless of who the QB was.

Stanton needs to get the ball out fast because he can't take too many hits to the head. If he goes down, this team is done.

You don't know that.

Don't know what, that they would have lost 4 of their final 7? No, no one knows the future to be certain.

But I think this team was destined to a rough finish but now we will never know. Stanton shouldn't be too much of a drop off, but I'm sure if they win 2 or 3 of their final 7 games, people will blame it all on Carson. They've got a rough schedule coming up:

Record of teams they've beat so far this year: 32-40

Record of teams remaining: 36-27

Let's walk through that remaining schedule:

Detroit 7-2

@Seattle 6-3

@ Atlanta 3-6

Kansas City 6-3

@ St L 3-6

Seattle

@S.F. 5-4

Presuming they can beat 3-6 teams on the road, are you suggesting they'll lose 4 out of 5 to the winning teams?

I think they'll end up with 12-13 wins. I got 'zen losing in Seattle and the finale against the 49ers. This week is a huge test for them,

Detroit has an excellent defense. But the Lions offense has often sputtered this year, they can't sustain a running game, and they've had three miracle wins in a row.

This week might give us insight about just how good either team is or isn't.

Detroit 7-2 - Stanton vs old team. Detroit took a 38-10 beat down 2 years ago in ARI and this team is better.

@Seattle 6-3 - most likely a loss but make no mistake, the Seahawks of 2013 are not this team.

@ Atlanta 3-6 - even at ATL, they have the advantage. Ryan has no OL.

Kansas City 6-3 - should win.

@ St L 3-6 - should win.

Seattle - toss up but can win at home.

@S.F. 5-4 - niners are jeckyl and hyde. If Frank Gore is #####ing before the game, SF wins. IF he isn't Harbug will forget how SF wins games.

4-3 at worst I predict.

I agree 100% on your second statement... which is 100% in conflict with your previous statement.

If they can beat Seattle one of those games they can go 4-3 (wins against Atl, KC and Stl) and win the division.

I don't really understand your reasoning. But okay I will rephrase my first statement: "That's a shame because I think this team was going to go 3-4 in their final 7 games"

Every statement someone makes on these boards is opinion. I don't think I need to add "I think" to every one of them. It's implied when someone says "this team won't win a superbowl this year" that anything could happen but it's their opinion.
