Anyone Have Experience Converting a Re-Draft League to Dynasty? (1 Viewer)

Thinking about this for my main re-draft league that I'm commissioner of. Had the same core group of guys for 10+ years so I think it would make sense to make this transition. The guys can be a little hesitant to make any changes so I want to have a well thought out plan before I propose anything.

Anyone done this before? What kind of rules should we implement? I figure the startup draft should be an auction and we'd have some kind of rookie draft in the summer, but that's about as far as I've gotten.

Also, this league is on Yahoo, could we stay on this platform or would we have to change?

Thanks in advance for the help Shark Pool!

It was a fairly easy transition for me having the Bylaws in place is probably the most important part of a Dynasty league and you can do a simple search and found some great ideas. We started out as a 5 man keeper league but it's really nothing to it. We are in our 15th year (10 man ) with 8 of the original owners.

Personally I'd avoided making it a keeper. I always find them the worst. It takes a lot of the strategy out of dynasty. Maybe it's just me though.

Hard to say, you might have a hard sell but if you've been together for 10 years maybe people are ready for a change. I'd expect some people to quit after the first year though. That's the nature of the beast unfortunately.
