I was watching American Idol with my wife last night , and one of the kids had dedicated a song to his brother "who died." Fox didn't get into the how, why, etc, which struck me as curious given how much they love to capitalize on the ####. I started poking around on the internet, and this seems all sorts of ####ed up. From backwoods racism, police cover-up, missing body parts, past history from the location he disappeared from, to mysterious hotel room charges, this one seems ripe for a Dateline or True Detective plot.

Anyone know anything beyond the typical google search?

Saw a blurb about this on GMA yesterday morning. I just remembered this due to the guys resemblence to Randall Cobb. Very weird case definitely seems like some sort of cover up. GMA didn't mention his neck being slit but did mention there was physical evidence that contradicted the accidental drug overdose ruling.
