Coming off a 33-touch performance, Eddie Lacy said his body is feeling good.
Lacy has at least 24 touches and 97 total yards in four straight weeks. Not bad for someone deemed fat by Twitter back in August. "I thought I was going to be a lot sorer," he said Wednesday. "I was sore the day after. I was getting beat up out there. But it's the same healing process; we're still on schedule." The Packers have talked up using James Starks more in an effort to keep Lacy fresher, something fantasy owners should welcome. The rookie is still going to be the feature back and push for 20 touches weekly.

Green Bay Packers rookie running back Eddie Lacy has provided some early-season ground punch to the previous aerial-based assault.
Lacy has touched the ball 24 or more times the last four weeks, since retuning from a concussion injury, including 27 times (22 carries) in Week 7 against the Cleveland Browns and 33 times (29 carries) last Sunday night versus the Minnesota Vikings.
The Packers love Lacy's production, but they would like to see his number of carries reduced in upcoming games.
"We had an extra day (to recover) this week with the Monday night game, that plays into it too," running backs coach Alex Van Pelt said, per the Green Bay Press Gazette. "But we're definitely monitoring the carries for him, try to get him back down to around 20."
The wear-and-tear on Lacy is something the Packers will want to keep an eye on. His running style alone creates a lot of punishment to his body. Add in the likelihood that he will play a big role on a playoff team poised to make a deep run, and Green Bay will want him fresh in January.
James Starks' increased production should help lighten Lacy's load. Starks provides a similar style as Lacy. Starks will provide a reprieve, but Lacy will remain the Packers' No. 1 option.

Keep it focused on lacy then, 'K? ThanksI tried to do it for Boykin too but my powers are usually limited to one player only.
And thank the fantasy gods for that...Eddie Lacy isn't Trent Richardson.![]()
As a dynasty owner, I like it. Keep him fresh and healthy.Starks is gonna continue to be a PIA. <_<
i don t mind it as a redraft owner either. 30 carries a game would destroy himAs a dynasty owner, I like it. Keep him fresh and healthy.Starks is gonna continue to be a PIA. <_<
Indeed, but we have to understand something. Ancient, 300-lb. Brandon Jacobs fell off of his couch and rumbled for 106 and 2 TDs against the Bears. When defensive coordinators have a full week toLooked very good again...even with Rodgers out.
at the prospect of defending a Seneca Wallace-led offense, it may be a different story. Both have been beasting the last 5 weeks this is true.Zac Stacy disagrees with four of the last five posts.
I agree with this - I expect him to be around 25 touches as long as the game is in reach but efficiency and scoring opps will likely go down IMO.Make no mistake, Rodgers being hurt is bad to very bad for all Packers, even big Lace. 7-8 in the box is a lot different than 5-6.
Hopefully not...I want him to fall to me in a slightly later round.top 5 pick next year
I hear you. I see no way he falls outside the top 15 picks assuming health.Hopefully not...I want him to fall to me in a slightly later round.top 5 pick next year
yeah, I see him and the other guy that been mentioned in this thread, Stacy, both being regarded as first round/early second round talent coming into next years draft.I hear you. Knocks him down a peg or two, sure, but he's still far exceeding his ADP and should be back to previous form when Rodgers is back just in time for FF playoffsStacy still got the carries today, but only managed 73 yards on those 24 carries.
Anyone worried about his production with green bays qb situation?
Less redzone carries is not great for him.
I packaged him with Ridley last week for Charles. What is Lacys value in a redraft? You should expect a top 5, maybe top 3 WR in return, correct?
Depends on your league. In my league Lacy puts up 10 PPG (#10 RB) and the top 3 WRs put up about 13.4 so, no I would not give you one of them for Lacy. What is Lacys value in a redraft? You should expect a top 5, maybe top 3 WR in return, correct?
top 3 is calivin, green, and dez. Id say the tier below them. What is Lacys value in a redraft? You should expect a top 5, maybe top 3 WR in return, correct?
Good points Chaka.Depends on your league. You may be able to talk your way up to the #5-6 WR if you make a solid sell. What is Lacys value in a redraft? You should expect a top 5, maybe top 3 WR in return, correct?
Not until Rodgers gets back is he a top back. I wouldn't be surprised if he's benched by a lot of owners until then if they have decent options. What is Lacys value in a redraft? You should expect a top 5, maybe top 3 WR in return, correct?
I don't think that's accurate. The QB play is atrocious, and they're just stacking the box. If Tolzien doesn't throw a terrible pick, Lacy's got eleven points already in normal scoring redraft, and then he's got a whole drive w/in a touchdown to pile on more points.QB less of a worry IMO...oline injuries and bad defense will hurt him more than Tolzien.

I know you're a homer, but forget the playoffs unless you get Rodgers back. These guys stink.
