Anyone selling high or buying low on Ray Rice? (1 Viewer)

Wondering if the FBG nation is buying low on Ray Rice. The Ravens have a had a brutal beginning schedule against the Steelers, Bengals, and Jets. Now comes Denver, Patriots, Bills, Dolphins, Falcons, Panthers, etc. Pretty sweet playoff schedule for week 15 and 16 against the Brownies and 'Aints. He's on pace for about 50 - 60 catches. I know the TD's are not there, but I just have a gut feeling this guy is about to bust loose. Just traded away Steven Jackson for him, and am feeling pretty good. My only concern is Ray Ray's knee contusion, but this guy is tough as nails.

Any FBG'ers trying to trade for this guy or maybe even selling? What says you?

:kicksrock:

Are people trying to get rid of Ray Rice or are they trying to trade for him? That's the discussion I would like to have.

I have Ray Rice in a few leagues. I am not looking to deal him and a few people have been sniffing around. He has too much name value/potential to sell low.

How would you measure RayRay's value in units of Finleys?
I tried that 1:1 and got turned down several times.
Maybe you need to remind the guy that Finley will be the best TE in football this year.
I'm assuming the guy was trying to trade FOR finley.
I had assumed just the opposite.I think if you're dumb enough to be sending Rice FOR Finley, you're going to find that trade accepted immediately.

And subsequently vetoed by the rest of the league.
It was joke obviously, everyone that knows how good rice is or the situation hes had to deal with the first 4 weeks isnt trading him.Everyone else is trying to jump ship.Barring an injury Rice will be a top 10 back this year. Was offered CJ2k, Ricky Williams and Brandon Tate for Ray Rice, Michael Turner and Chad Ochocinco I turned it down last week, and I would turn it down today.

Have not had a chance to see Rice play yet, but his stats and his schedule definitely have frustrated some owners. I'm personally not worried about his injury, and think that the easier part of the schedule is coming. This may be the last week you can buy low on Ray Ray. His receiving stats in PPR leagues almost make him a WR3 type player. If an owner had a LATE first round pick such as SJax or even Andre Johnson, I would be hounding the Rice owner to see if they want to swap. JMO. Thanks for those posting SERIOUS responses.

;)

Traded for Rice...

Rice, Colston and B jackson

gave up

D Williams, CJ Spiller, and M Williams TB

I needed one quality back who I can start regularly.

Also have Forte, M Bush, Moreno and BGE.

Sounds like a very fair trade given D.will and R.rice performances so far.

Rice has has some tough defenses the 1st 4 games. I am from Carolina and I dont see the Pathers offense going anytime soon. Rookie QB, Steve Smith out. Defenses will stack the box and make Clausen throw.IMO

I was trading for RR.

I agree completely that Rice is a better prospect now and in the future than D. Will, was just stating comparatively they have done about the same amount of work, I own Rice in every league I could get him in, im well aware of the Ravens bad first 1/4 schedule bright future in baltimore would not be surprised if they were in the AFC championship or the Superbowl. Rice has has some tough defenses the 1st 4 games.IMO

I was offered Ray Rice for Thomas Jones and Brian Hartline. 14 team league, start 2 RB and 3 WR. I have Adrian Peterson, Jamaal Charles and Ryan Torain at RB.

I felt bad clicking the accept button.

Wow... now that is buying low.I traded for Rice this week and felt pretty good about it:I got: Rice, B. Marshall, S. HolmesThey got: LT2, D.Keller, M.BushLeaves me with in standard re-draft (non-PPR):QB: Favre, VickRB: MDJ, Rice, SJax, MLynchWR: R. Moss, B. Marshall, HNicks, PHarvin, S.HolmesTE: Gates, A.Hernandez

I traded BJGE and Colston

for Rice and Royal

I have no regreta as a a short 4 weeks ago many people had Rice as one of the/if not the top RB (esp in PPR).

Well worth the gamble considering I just got BJGE off the waiver wires a few weeks ago.

That said I am not sure I would trade say a P Thomas/McCoy/R Williams type mid tier RB for Rice until he showed some signs of life or until McGahee ceases to exist.

I was just offered Rice/Bradford for Hillis/Orton. Orton is my backup behind Brees. I don't know if I like sacrificing the depth at QB to "upgrade" my RB, when it may not be much of an upgrade at all.

I offered MJD for his Ray Rice in one league and was turned down.

I have been offered various deals for my Ray Rice in another league and have turned down all of them - mostly low-ball offers in my opinion.

I thought the MJD offer was fairly equal, considering both their stats so far.

I'm contemplating accepting this trade: giving up Foster/Lloyd for Rice, Colston, and Ward. I dont think Lloyd will keep the #s up.

Then again, Colston/Ward average so far

I thought the MJD offer was fairly equal, considering both their stats so far.
So then why make the trade?
Rice is younger, and is on a better team. While I think that MJD will finish this season with a better year than Rice, I think Rice has about 2-3 more quality seasons left than MJD does. All in all, I like MJD's present better, but Rice's future better.CLARIFICATION: This offer was before either of their good games (before week 4). At that point, MJD was ranked around RB24 or so, and Rice was RB35-40ish.

Sick trade, leaves you with the most ridiculous team ive ever seen and I thought I got ridiculously lucky drafting this year. You end up with Keller Gates and Hernandez...

One note of mention is that Mcgahee and Mcclain were stuffed for a combined 4 goalline attempts against the Broncos. Mcgahee's only TD was a 30 yarder. Meanwhile, Rice got two goalline carries and converted both of them.

What to make of this?

Just traded Rice and Crabtree for Djax and J. Stewart. Keeper league trade where we can keep 5 guys. Distance scoring bonuses and .5 ppr. I needed a WR bad and have Sjax, Best, Lynch and M. Bush as depth. After starting 1-4 this year it was time for a housecleaning.

Traded Forte/Finley for Rice/Winslow last week.

I look for Forte to fall off his schedule is brutal end of year.

Finley goes down and it looks even better.

I was thinking of offering Andre Johnson/Brandon Tate for Ray Rice in a dynasty PPR. But the Ray Rice owner in my league will prob reject it.

was offered Rice for Miles Austin straight up after Austins 7/117 day today in a PPR league. I think Im gonna jump on this

I made a deal for Rice on Friday...owner NEEDED a win and was in bye week hell, so Moreno and Ochocinco were goners.

As far as value in PPR league I'm in. I've been offered Rice and either Colston or Lloyd for Gore and Mason... I am Still trying to decide. What worries me are his touches inside the 20.
