Anyone taking a chance on Forte? (1 Viewer)

I don't want to turn this into an A/C forum question by mentions specific names of replacements but who is rolling with Forte Monday night despite the risk he may sit last minute?

I am. It's either him or Mark Ingram (who will basically score me 0 points). Most of the owners in our league are hoarding running backs so there literally is nothing left on the waiver wire for me.

Lovie would have to be insane to give Forte a full workload in his first game back. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they did give him some work, just to see how his ankle responds, but I doubt it would be 20 carries.

I don't think you want to pencil Forte into your lineup without a MNF sub - but any decent play from the Bears or Cowboys would give you the replacement option with the hope that Forte does play - he does have an extra day of rest/rehab

I am thinking about it. With Donald Brown on bye, I have little depth at RB2. I have Tashard Choice and Billel Powell. If Jackson is inactive, Choice obv. If Jackson and Spiller are both active, then I have a decision to make.

I doubt he'll suit up. He's been limited in practice this week, including Saturday, and generally coaches are reluctant to feature a player in a game that has not had a full practice in the week leading up to the game. Chicago's bye is next week, so it would make sense to let Forte work back to game speed at practice next week and have him a full go week 6 without any worry for the rest of the season. It's not like they don't have a fully capable backup with Bush.

Picked up Bell just in case as I'm hurting with Forte, Spiller and SJax being banged up so if Bell can get me some catches and about 5-8pts I'd be happy with that....I hope!
As did I. Depending on news tomorrow morning I MAY just wait. Bell should get something, but my other options on Sunday are safer IMO so likely that's the route I will go. My guessing this year has been dismal I must add.

This may be true for some coaches, but that doesn't matter. What does matter is what/how Lovie handles these situations. I can't be 100% certain, but didn't Urlacher start earlier this year after little (none?) practice during the week?

I don't have any great alternatives (D Williams/Jaquizz), but I'm sitting Forte this week anyway. Just don't trust they'll use him much. Rather take 4-6 points than possibly nothing. Ray Rice didn't do much for me but the rest of my lineup should at least keep me competitive.
