Anyone watch Reggie Nelson? (1 Viewer)

I'm in a tackle heavy league and am considering picking up Nelson off the WW (and dropping Jarrad Page). Was the guy really as good as his stats? I thought he was suppose to be a reserve with a bum ankle.

Part of the reason Nelson had that many tackles is because Tennessee ran a ton of plays, including 49 rushing attempts, and you can't count on that every week.

I'd keep Page.

Vast majority of Nelson's tackles came well downfield. Jacksonville safeties are historically mediocre and inconsistent in the boxscore. Probably a slightly better option in big play leagues than tackle neutral or heavy leagues.

Sensabaugh and Knight started at safety. Did Reggie come in for one of those guys or was he the nickel back? I ask because they were talking about him being the nickel back before they cut Darius or signed Knight. I'm a Jags fan, but the game was blacked out (as it appears all home games will be this year).

Unclear from the notes I saw yesterday. Best guess is poor play.

Huh? The game wasn't blacked out here. This Sunday will be a different story.Anyway, Reggie didn't play hardly in the first quarter. I'm not sure if he came in because the Titans kept going with 3 and 4 WR sets. He had a nice play on a blitz.I wouldn't expect too much from him, since it looks like Knight and Sensabaugh. On the other hand, it might be a situation to watch because:A) Teams will probably continue to try to spread the Jags out.B) JDR has said that the run defense must improve and Sensabaugh missed a few tackles.
