Anyone's HD feed choppy? (1 Viewer)

My DirectTV HD feed looks fine, although the play-by-play guy sounds the same whether it's a 42 yard punt in the 1st quarter or a 77 yd TD run that sends the game into OT.

What channel is the DirecTV NFL HD on? I can only find the lowdef channel.

TF,

What cables are you using, and does your HD look different on the NFL network than it does on your other HD channels?

FWIW, The NFLN HD channel on Direct TV is 95, 212 is the regular definition.

My HD feed was frozen? I had to watch on 212. How do people do that :)Seriously, I will call directtv as that shouldn't happen

My HD feed from NFL network is choppy. It's only happening when the game, not the commercials. Is it just me?
I had this happen occasionally on my ESPN feed a couple weeks ago. It seemed everything I watched on ESPN HD would be "choppy" so to speak. I checked the cables etc, nothing seemed to help. Then one day, it just stopped and has been clear since. I don't think its on your end.

I can rarely get a full game in on Sundays w/CBS HD through Direct TV. The HD and regular signals are two completly seperate signals, so it is possible for HD to be faulty and regular stations to be fine. My problem is that I live in an apartment and the landscape weakens the signal with the location of the dish. It sucks because all the HD appears fine except for the Sunday games. I have begun moving the dish while the game is going on to find a signal that doesn't freeze, and it has worked relatively well so far-it may be your best bet. Wind, rain, and plenty of other factors can affect how good a signal you are getting and the best location for the dish to be aimed.

I should say it was from Cox Cable, not Direct TV. Have HDMI cables and the NFL Network HD feed last week worked perfectly, just not last night for some reason

First of all, get Direct TV, maybe the feed was screwed up due to the weather being so cold? The picture was fine where I watched the game last night.

I have DirecTV Platinum, NFL package, Superfan. But I don't get a picture on the HD NFL channel. Is there some other package that is required to get that feed?

99% of the time a choppy HD signal is NOT going to be your fault. It's all bandwidth, doesn't matter if it's cable or dish - they both experience bandwidth issues. Even more so - it will depend on what "area/system" you are in (if you have cable).

I am on the premiere package and have all the NFL options as well. Not sure why you don't get channel 95 though.

Just call them and they will send a signal to you and you'll have it. I should know, I've spent about 3-5 hours on the phone with DirecTV over the past few weeks since I ordered the HDTV DVR from them.
