Nope, that's everything.Draft tonight. Things I know.Arian Foster, Jahvid Best are flying up the chartsLarry Fitz is barely a 2nd rounderThis is NOT the year to wait on a QBKnowShon Moreno will be a bustWells is flying up charts as wellLeinart is outAnything else?
This is not a very productive post for they guy, but what else does the OP expect? I am sure guys on here have no problem answering more specific questions or respond to opinions, but a shotgun question like this more or less warrants this type of answer.Brett Favre retired. That Brady Quinn guy is really good.Look for Brian Westbrook to lead the league in rushing.Ben Tate is the RB to grab in Hou for redraft leagues. At WR Sidney Rice should be looked at early in your draft.Pair him up with Donnie Avery if you can.I think that should be about all you need to know. Good Luck!![]()
Why is it not the year to wait on a qb again?
Avoid: Cutler, KolbTake: Stafford, OrtonAnything else?
Agreed - there is a lot of acceptable mid level talent out there and you are likely to have to go second round to get a top 4.Over paying IMO unless your league counts QB completions. Can do almost as well pairing mid rnd QBs, leaving rnd 2 or 3 for RB or WR.Modog814 said:ThePittbully said:Why is it not the year to wait on a qb again? In fact I'd argue just the opposite. Even if you want a "stud" QB, you can wait for 4 or 5 to come off the board first and still be able to grab one.
Finley won't be there in the first. he's been going in the recently created .5 round.Target Finley, Foster and Huggins with your first three picks, although Foster probably won't be available when your turn comes up in the second.
I think the argument is that you can get good WRs and RBs in later rounds and spend an early pick on a QB who should perform a lot better than a mid-round QB. Arian Foster could compete with a guy taken in the first round, but a mid-round QB (after the top ones are all gone) will have trouble competing, even in a QBBC. I know Foster is moving up boards but you could get a top QB and WR and get him as well. You can always find value later to make up for taking something else earlier, but this year seems to have really good quarterbacks coupled with intriguing later options at RB and WR.Agreed - there is a lot of acceptable mid level talent out there and you are likely to have to go second round to get a top 4.Over paying IMO unless your league counts QB completions. Can do almost as well pairing mid rnd QBs, leaving rnd 2 or 3 for RB or WR.Modog814 said:ThePittbully said:Why is it not the year to wait on a qb again? In fact I'd argue just the opposite. I went the QBBC route this year. I would have loved to grab a QB in round 4-5, but all the top-tier ones were taken by then. I ended up picking up Cutler, Ryan, and Orton in later rounds. Hopefully amongst those three I can field a decent starter each week. While there *are* a goodly number of decent RBs available in the middle rounds this year, I don't particularly think the draft is so chock full of decent WRs after the first 10-15 go off the board.I think the argument is that you can get good WRs and RBs in later rounds and spend an early pick on a QB who should perform a lot better than a mid-round QB.
