Anything wrong with owning a WR#1 and WR#2 from the same team? (1 Viewer)

I'm considering going after Marvin but I already own Wayne. Other than the hit I'd take on bye week, can anyone give me a good reason why it would be a bad idea to roster Indy's #1 and #2?

Remember last year when Indy had homefield wrapped up early. At 5-0, they might be sitting their studs the last 2 weeks again.

Same problem as with the hook up (QB-WR same team) - when the offense is on its a gold mine - when its off its tough to recover (had Hass to D jax - loving life for a few weeks until the Bear wall!)

Not to mention Indy locking it before the end of the season

I was asking myself the saem thing as a Boldin owner who just put n for Johnson.

I would say it depends on the pair. Boldin and Fitz, Wayne and Harrison... sure why not. Edwards and Northcutt not so much.

I made a trade last week and have this same tandem. Have to say I was disappointed in their Week 1 performance together vs. the Titans.

Anyway, it is not the same as the QB/WR tandem. It actually generally evens out your score more - because if one WR doesn't catch a TD, it's more likely that the other did. I believe one of the FBGs did an analysis of this at some point, where having combos like Holt/Bruce a few years ago was more stable than similar level WRs from different teams from week to week. Note this is only true in the case of very good WRs like this combo.

It's possible the Colts could have nothing to play for in Week 16, but I doubt it. I mean - they just barely beat the Titans and they have tough games ahead playing 3/4 of the NFC East, the Broncos, the Patriots, the Bengals and @Jax.
