Are Aliens Visiting Us? (3 Viewers)

What would absolute proof need to be? Photos or video of an alien or spacecraft? A live press conference with an alien? A UAP landing on the 50 at the Super Bowl? Who would you trust to deliver the proof? A president? Joe Rogan? Ken Burns? Tom Hanks?

Are we ready for that absolute proof if it exists? I think we are more ready now than we would have been 20-40-60 years ago, but I really don't know.

A prominent R and a prominent D who hate each other holding a joint press conference.
That might be better proof than seeing it with my own eyes.

Another good part of that Skeptic article

The film then reviews most of the standard UAP pilot accounts, such as this from Navy pilot Ryan Graves: “They [UAPs] were ubiquitous. We were seeing them almost daily.” If true, given that nearly every commercial airline passenger has a smart phone with a high-definition camera at the ready, there should be thousands of clear and unmistakable photographs and videos of these UAPs. To date there is not one. Nada. Zilch. Here the absence of evidence is evidence of absence.
People with cell phones aside, you would think where our military is operating, we would have satellites focused on that area. My daughter can get a perfect image of our house on our phone, but we only get to see radar evidence of crafts like the tic-toc.

I admit that radar looks bizarre as is the speeds and maneuvers they are talking about, but these are the types of questions still floating around my head. My other hesitation is that it always seems to be mostly ramped up tech of things we have or can imagine. I would think an alien civilization would be well, more alien in it's tech and be truly weird for us to comprehend. Or maybe they are just us in the future time traveling? :bonghit:

I don't think this is accurate even if you're applying using tools as the measuring stick for intelligence. Oldest known tools are 3.3 million years old.

I think even a 500 to 1000 year had start would be enough to dwarf our technology and knowledge of the universe.
Assuming they survived that long, I think you are right. Hunams likely won't. Our AI overlords will be in charge before the LA summer olympics.
I kinda think the "aliens" we see are AI from somewhere else.
Give it a few more years and we could probably invent some AI led space mission that takes a thousand years to get somewhere, all the while improving on its own technology during the trip.

Preach.

People really need to stop saying this. It completely disregards the classified angle. It’s also addressed early in the doc. Jay Stratton who ran the government UAP program said we absolutely have very clear and irrefutable pictures and videos, they just haven’t been declassified for release. Everything out there has been declassified which is why it’s out for public consumption.

Doing my best moops impression, after hearing this stuff for decades I start to feel that is a convenient excuse. I fully understand the classified angle, and I am sure you can understand people's frustration of hearing rumors for decades and just getting testimonials and radar footage. That makes me lean back into the idea that it's mostly just government experiments and tech vs. an alien civilization.

Seriously, what do they think will happen if they gave the public a few bits of high quality evidence?

decent impression.

To back that up - that just addresses my specific question about footage like the tic tac. I understand the classified info when our military is involved, but again we could circle back about questions from the rest of the human population.

I feel like one group (military and government) is telling me there are 8k level videos and verifiable proof, but it's classified and the other group (the rest of us) can't get any decent evidence because these things are bending space time and dealing with tech that confuses our stone age equipment. Or do the Men In Black instantly show up when one of us gets evidence?

Like you said elsewhere, I 100% believe that there is life out there with the intelligence and tech to find and visit us. Billions and billions of stars and billions of years for natural experimentation. Odds are they haven't found us, died out long ago, etc. IMO the odds are astronomical there isn't that type of life out there, but also the odds are extremely small that is happening now and here. But it's not impossible, I have a great imagination, and I love the idea of it being aliens. The cynical me just thinks that all these sightings and stories are our governments/military and they can't admit what they are doing or what they have. People have brought up a good point about what exactly is the type of proof I would require, and I am not sure I have a great answer for that either.

I can completely understand the frustration because I’ve felt/feel it too. I’ve only fully moved to the side I am on only recently. But the reason I have moved is due exclusively to the quality and quantity of people coming out speaking about it.
It’s also equally frustrating watching people completely disregard the preponderance of evidence that has come out. I’d love to see a great crystal clear video get released, no doubt, but I’d bet dollars to donuts most of the same people would excuse that away too. Like most things, people are dug into their positions.

this is like the robbery suspect pics on the news. The worst blurry photos ever. Meanwhile, the rover on mars has super HD pics of every grain of sand. Remember the great drone mystery? Worst videos ever. Meanwhile my kid can makes Scorsese level ticktock’s on her phone.

This really does make a lot of sense if this really is happening. It clears up a lot of logistical questions people may have and if our evolutionary path is the one we're using, seems we're on the cusp of making our computers think for themselves.

Sorry Dave

I have not seen the doc and I would guess I have not seen/heard things that others in here have. As to the bolded - to be clear, I am not doing that. I found the tic toc videos and some of the testimonials quite interesting. But, it still doesn't prove what it is (aliens vs. government) and it still requires somebody to walk me through what the videos show, that's a bit what I am getting at.

Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies. Rivers and seas boiling.
The dead rising from the grave.
Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... MASS HYSTERIA!

Tis the season and all. Can we prove that aliens weren't at the first Thanksgiving? I watched a documentary about that a while ago.

Some of these people would need to be anal probed to be convinced and even then they would be yelling for the alien to take its mask off.
If someone was anally probing me I would assume they were a human with some weird stuff going on before I would think it was an alien.
