Are QB's & WR's scoring more TD's this year? (1 Viewer)

From a dynasty perspective, I try to fill my last slot or so with a player who of course is available in my league, but I have stocked up on QB's and WR's a bit more than I used to for running backs who have a short shelf life. Unfortunatly I pick last or next to last the last 5 years in the Spring draft of mostly rookies.

I dont think its so much that WRs are scoring more than ever, I think it is that far too many top line - and mid line - running backs have gone down with injuries, which blurs the hard line between stud RBs and the rest of the positions.

I would think they may be up this year, but no higher than back in Moss / Owens' hayday a few years back... before Moss quit on his teammates.

Not quite as high as 2004, but if things continue on this pace it will be close. Most people believe however that QB and WR numbers will start to drop a bit as the weather gets colder, so it should end up being an average year.

Those stats aer pretty awesome. I thought for sure there were more passing TDs by a long way. The game sure seems to be more pass heavy watching it and more fun to watch this year.

I wonder if there are more RB receptions and TDs. Seems like there is more of that.

Here are the league wide numbers throught he first 12 weeks of each season, sorry I couldn't get the formatting better. I've bolded the best year and italicized the worst. I assumed this was a huge passing year but after looking at the data it looks like a combo very good WR year and very bad RB year.
